The Challenge Ahead:

We are looking for a Project and People Manager who will play an important role in our leadership team. You understand that development and operations are one entity, and that DevOps is all about making the business successful by delivering value to the customer faster and in a reliable way. You will manage project and resource planning, balance scope with capacity, track progress, implement and improve processes, mitigate risks, and manage the careers of your direct reports. You are a master of operations capabilities and aim to ensure that the Player experience is excellent. You know how to nurture a healthy team and can inspire and motivate team members to make a difference. You know how to build collaborative, high functioning relationships with development teams and central services partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of DevOps engineers which is part of a global team

  • Work with tech leads and engineers on planning and implementing strategic DevOps projects

  • Guide planning (i.e. resource, initiative, sprint/program increment, release planning) and support continuous improvement by conducting retrospectives

  • Create project schedules and align with the development and central teams from one project phase to the next while ensuring quality, collaboration, and communication

  • Ensure deadlines are met and regularly communicate status and risks with the project team and project partners

  • Mitigate risks for areas of ownership, be the point of escalation for conflict management, risk identification and develop mitigation strategies

  • Build and evolve a team; identify resourcing needs, provide challenges and developmental opportunities to ensure that all employees reach their potential

Qualifications:

  • You will have knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management acquired from 5+ years experience in project management ideally on AAA game franchises or similar software development projects.

  • 5+ years of people management and leadership experience with the ability to challenge and inspire (including team motivation, development and performance management)

  • Experience in solving complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of several factors

  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft excel, PowerPoint or equivalent software.
