Job Summary:
Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient QC Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and execute automation frameworks and scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing testing efficiency, reducing manual testing efforts, and supporting the organization’s commitment to delivering reliable, robust applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Software Requirements:
- Required:
- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver with Java (minimum 2+ years of experience)
- TestNG framework for test execution and management
- Maven for build and dependency management
- Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines
- JIRA for defect and test management
- Preferred:
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar
- Knowledge of database testing using SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Overall Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation testing scripts and frameworks in alignment with project requirements.
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to validate application quality.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with development teams for issue resolution.
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing processes.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Review test cases and automation scripts, providing feedback to improve quality standards.

Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in automation testing and scripting.
- Proven experience with Selenium and Java in a testing environment.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in iterative development cycles.
- Industry experience in finance, banking, insurance, or related sectors is desirable but not mandatory.
- Candidates with alternative but comparable automation testing experience will be considered.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using Selenium and related tools.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to identify root causes of failures.
- Review test artifacts, including test cases and automation scripts, and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and deliver test coverage.
- Attend sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Maintain and update test documentation, reporting testing progress and results to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium Certification) are a plus.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying current with automation best practices.
