Job Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer (SDET) will strengthen test automation within an agile development environment, designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for high-quality software delivery. This role involves close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to enhance automation coverage, improve testing efficiency, and continuously improve test processes across enterprise applications, ideally within the banking or financial domain. Responsibilities include automating test cases, executing and analyzing tests, defect follow-up, contributing to CI/CD, and participating in agile ceremonies.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of Payments transaction protocols such as SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, CHATS, FED.
  • Familiarity with Pegasystems enterprise products.
  • Broader understanding of financial systems integration and banking domain automation frameworks.
Must Have:
  • Support the agile team through automation of test cases.
  • Execute, analyze, report, and follow up on defects as part of daily testing work.
  • Work on existing test frameworks, interfaces, mocks/stubs, and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within and outside the scrum team.
  • Contribute to CI/CD integration and continuous improvement of test automation practices.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and ensure quality deliverables throughout the sprint lifecycle.
  • Basic knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, XPATH, XML.
  • Experience with REST API and SOAP Web Services testing.
  • Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.
  • Good coding skills in Java.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with GitLab for source code version control.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence) and Test Management tools such as Squash.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, responsible, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • ISTQB certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer, Developer, or Technical Tester — preferably in the banking industry.
