Synopsys, formerly Ansys, is seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Developer for Ansys Forming. Ansys Forming is a platform for sheet metal stamping simulations powered by the LS-DYNA solver. The role involves developing and maintaining a C++ application with a focus on UI, integrating with CAD libraries like Parasolid or open Cascade, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features. The position also requires contribution to CI/CD pipelines and adherence to agile development practices using version control systems like GIT. Must have:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency in C++
  • Experience in UI development (wxWidgets/Qt)
  • Familiarity with CAD libraries
  • Understanding of software development methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (GIT)
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools

The position is open for a Developer for Ansys Forming. Ansys Forming is a process-centered platform to design, simulate, and validate multi-step sheet metal stamping simulations. Ansys Forming is powered by the LS-DYNA, a multi-physics solver extensively used in industry for its accuracy in simulating complex physical systems. For this position, we are looking for a motivated and detailed oriented developer to join our team. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a C++ application with a focus on UI
  • Integrate and work with CAD specific libraries such as Parasolid or open Cascade
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment process
  • Follow agile development practicesUse version control systems (GIT) to manage codebase and collaborate with team members

Required qualification

  • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field. 
  • Proficiency in C++Experience in UI development using wxWidgets and/or Qt
  • Familiarity with CAD librariesUnderstanding solftware development methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices
