React Native Developer (SHORT TERM CONTRACT)
Quantinium
Job Summary
This short-term contract involves taking over an almost-ready React Native iOS/Android app for Quantum Wi-Fi (Quantinium) and preparing it for production. The app allows tenants in multi-dwelling units to log in, view nearby free Wi-Fi routers on a map, and connect. Responsibilities include polishing UX/UI, fixing bugs in existing flows (auth, map, router connection), implementing small new features, hardening authentication, improving error handling, logging, and basic analytics hooks. Collaboration will be in short, focused iterations.
Must Have
- Strong experience with React Native for iOS and Android.
- Proven track record taking over existing codebases and shipping quickly.
- Experience with map-based interfaces (e.g. react-native-maps, Mapbox, or similar).
- Experience with auth flows (tokens, sessions, secure storage).
- Experience with REST API integration and handling network edge cases.
- Solid debugging skills and comfort running concentrated bugfix sprints.
- Clear communication and ability to work independently.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with UISP / Ubiquiti or ISP/networking products.
- Experience with Wi-Fi/networking concepts (SSIDs, roaming, captive portals).
- Experience with common state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, etc.).
- TypeScript, Expo, or similar tooling.
- Prior work on consumer apps with map/location features.
Job Description
About the project
Quantum Wi-Fi mobile app is an iOS/Android app built on React Native for tenants in multi-dwelling units (MDUs). Users log in with their UISP credentials, see nearby free Wi-Fi routers on a map, and can connect to them around the city. Core flows work; we now need polish, refinement, and stability to get to production.
