Job Description

The Renewals Manager is a self-directed, highly motivated professional responsible for overseeing multiple projects and prospective client opportunities. This role involves building and maintaining professional relationships, interacting with all organizational levels, and demonstrating strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The manager will balance team and individual workloads, meet deadlines, gauge risks, and creatively resolve issues. They will champion helping customers maximize value from SailPoint products and services, ensuring business loyalty and lifetime value. Key responsibilities include renewing services subscriptions, forecasting global services renewals, and enabling the field on successful renewal motions, including engagement scoping and service delivery.

  • Monitor accounts for change in solution/product usage, personnel, goals, mission, financial conditions, competitor involvement and other areas that could have an effect on clients’ ongoing use and/or satisfaction with SailPoint’s products and services
  • Provide strategic updates on services renewal trends to SailPoint Senior Management
  • Identify new opportunities for expanding SailPoint product/service usage to maximize client success and SailPoint revenue growth
  • 5-7+ years of professional work experience as part of an enterprise software company or systems integrator
  • 3+ years of Engagement Manager or Project Manager experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and extensive experience working with clients and partners
  • Experience with Project Management duties (project planning, resource management, scope, schedule and status, documentation)
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Ability to travel 15%
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

What You’ll Do:

The subscription services team champions helping our customers get maximum value out of products and services, so the business gets maximum lifetime value and loyalty from the customer.

The Renewal Manager is responsible for renewing services subscriptions, forecasting global services renewals, and enabling the field on successful renewal motions. This includes engagement scoping, interfacing with client project team, and service delivery for our customers. This position (part of our Professional Services team) is responsible for qualifying, scoping and closing services renewal opportunities. This position is a senior position requiring an advanced technical skill set and experience gained from numerous Identity and SaaS product implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and forecast the recurring services renewals
  • Collaborate with the customer teams on renewal accounts
  • Enable the services team on successful renewal motions
  • Organize Business Review Checkpoints to drive renewal success
  • Develop budgeting and coordinate license co-term with account team

  • Develop renewal strategies and identify upsell / expand opportunities
  • Assist with the sales process for services portions of new deals and renewals, including presentations, RFP responses, proposal negotiation, and statement of work generation
  • Ensure that services are provided, implemented correctly and billed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage with a focus on profitability and productivity to ensure client satisfaction
  • Manage the business relationship between and assigned client accounts
  • Monitor accounts for change in solution/product usage, personnel, goals, mission, financial conditions, competitor involvement and other areas that could have an effect on clients’ ongoing use and/or satisfaction with products and services
  • Provide strategic updates on services renewal trends to Senior Management.
  • Identify new opportunities for expanding product/service usage to maximize client success and revenue growth

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years of professional work experience as part of an enterprise software company or systems integrator. This should include 3+ years of Engagement Manager or Project Manager experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and extensive experience working with clients and partners
  • Experience with Project Management duties (project planning, resource management, scope, schedule and status, documentation)
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Previous experience working with a SaaS product is a plus
  • Familiarity with identity management provisioning systems
  • Security software or internal IT audit experience a plus
  • Experience in a startup company is a plus
  • Ability to travel 15%

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Technical degree or Master’s degree a plus)

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$91,000 - $130,000 - $169,000

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
