Your Tasks
For the active support as well as the expansion and development of important public sector clients (districts, administrative regions, cities and municipalities as well as communal companies and data centers), we are looking for a Sales Manager (m/f/d) with experience in the sale of products or services requiring explanation. You advise public sector clients on our digital products with a focus on our research platform for digital legal publications (Wolters Kluwer Online) and our software-based expert solution eGoVPraxis.
- You ensure comprehensive support for your existing customers and develop them through targeted upselling and cross-selling.
- You analyze your sales territory, identify new sales potential, and independently acquire and develop new customers.
- You systematically build robust and long-term business relationships and maintain active and sustainable contact.
- You are responsible for creating offers, negotiating them, and closing contracts with customers.
- You report directly to the Head of Field Sales.
Your Profile
- You have a completed degree in economics or a comparable education/qualification.
- You have several years of experience in the sale of digital specialist information services and/or products or services requiring explanation.
- Ideally, you have experience with customers in the public sector.
- The acquisition of new customers is a matter of course for you.
- You have proven high negotiation skills at specialist and decision-making level, very good communication and presentation skills, and think customer and goal-oriented.
- You have experience with independent analysis and proactive development of customers.
- User knowledge of common Office products and handling CRM systems are a matter of course for you.
- Very good German and good English language skills complete your profile.
- Willingness to travel 1-2 days/week.
