Requirements and Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Salesforce Business Analyst and Functional Consultant with robust expertise in process optimization, Salesforce workflow design, configuration, and data projects, including data migration and cleanup. This versatile role emphasizes enhancing operational efficiency, customizing Salesforce to meet business needs, and ensuring seamless integration of Salesforce processes and data across systems. The ideal candidate will be a natural problem-solver and critical thinker, comfortable asking the right questions to uncover insights and drive actionable solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—business stakeholders, project managers, IT specialists, and Salesforce developers—to streamline Salesforce workflows, customize solutions, improve data quality, and support strategic initiatives. You will serve both as a facilitator of business process improvements and as a hands-on Salesforce configurator to implement scalable and effective solutions.

What You’ll Do

Salesforce Process Analysis & Workflow Design:

  • Analyze existing Salesforce processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with business objectives;
  • Design and document Salesforce workflows and configurations (e.g., process builder, flows, Lightning pages) that optimize operational effectiveness;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map out as-is and to-be processes within Salesforce, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams;
  • Act as a "tree shaker" to uncover root causes of inefficiencies in Salesforce processes and challenge existing assumptions to drive innovation;
  • Configure and customize Salesforce features to meet evolving business requirements, including creating custom objects, fields, validation rules, and automation.

Salesforce Implementation & Configuration:

  • Support the implementation of Salesforce solutions by configuring systems, creating reports, dashboards, and data models to meet business needs;
  • Assist in defining scope, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions within Salesforce;
  • Collaborate with developers and administrators to ensure technical solutions align with functional specifications and business goals;

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:

  • Serve as the liaison between business, Salesforce technical teams, and developers to ensure project goals are met and solutions are effectively implemented;
  • Ask insightful questions to elicit business requirements, ensuring that proposed Salesforce solutions meet stakeholder needs;
  • Prepare and present documentation, including process diagrams, data mapping documents, configuration specifications, and status updates to project stakeholders;
  • Build strong relationships across departments to facilitate communication and alignment on Salesforce goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for ongoing Salesforce process enhancements, system customizations, and automation that improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance quality;
  • Drive a culture of questioning and continuous learning to challenge the status quo and foster innovation within the Salesforce ecosystem.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Salesforce Functional Consultant, or in a similar role with a focus on Salesforce process optimization, configuration, workflow design, or data projects;
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration, data cleanup, migration, and validation processes;
  • Proven ability to analyze complex Salesforce systems and translate business requirements into customized solutions and workflows;
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce process mapping, configuration tools (e.g., Salesforce Flow, Lightning App Builder), and best practices;
  • Familiarity with tools for process and data analysis, such as SOQL, Excel, or Tableau;
  • Expertise in customizing Salesforce and implementing scalable solutions that meet diverse business needs;
  • “Tree Shaker”: ability to question assumptions and uncover hidden inefficiencies within Salesforce;
  • Question Asker: strong communication and elicitation skills to drive clarity and uncover business requirements;
  • Data Savvy: understanding of Salesforce data management principles, with hands-on experience in data projects, cleanup, and migration;
  • Adaptable: comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.

Additional Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, focusing on delivering practical Salesforce solutions;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse Salesforce stakeholders;
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Team-oriented attitude with the ability to foster collaboration and alignment across Salesforce and broader organizational departments.
