Job Summary
Job Description
- Perform SAP Basis tasks, including system performance troubleshooting and system refresh.
- Manage Oracle and HANA SAP NW upgrades, Unicode conversion, and SAP migrations.
- Execute DMO for HANA migrations and SAP S/4 HANA conversions.
- Utilize nZDM ZDO technologies and SDMI Silent Data Migration.
- Work with OS Linux and Oracle Database, including architecture and components.
- Administer Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, and perform database upgrades.
- Install and upgrade Oracle EBS, Oracle Access Manager, and OID.
- Apply EBS patches and perform administrative maintenance tasks.
- Execute routine DBA tasks, health checks, and installations.
- Possess strong knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, Configurators, JVMs, archiving, and purging.
- Understand Oracle database wait events and application parameters.
- Tune concurrent processing in large EBS environments and use OEM.
- Demonstrate exposure to Shell scripting and DB apps performance analysis.
- Responsible for installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting Oracle EBS.
- Identify and fix performance bottlenecks in application databases.
- Possess strong BASIS experience in SAP NetWeaver S/4 on HANA DB.
- Administer SAP HANA, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, installation, and HA/DR.
- Analyze HANA Mini checks and EWA reports.
- Understand HANA integration with Solution Manager Focused Run.
- Administer SYBASIS IQ as Near Line Storage solution.
- Possess basic knowledge of Public Clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Perform Oracle database tasks like adding data files, monitoring logs, system copy, and performance tuning.
- Basic understanding of SAP HANA, including system copy, replication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Sybase, including monitoring SAP ASE, adding devices, troubleshooting, system copy, and configuring HA/DR.
- Familiarity with DB2, including adding containers, monitoring logs, system copy, and configuring HA/DR.
- Knowledge of Hyperscalers like Azure, including Azure concepts, SAP system migration to Azure, and downtime optimization techniques.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with GCP.

- Apply EBS patches (Tech Stack Patches, DB patches, CPU PSU patches and other patches as necessary based on all supporting products)
- Perform all the E-Business Suite Oracle EBS administrative maintenance tasks and admin tasks on all the supporting technologies in E-Business Suite
- Experience in all routine DBA tasks including health checks, troubleshooting issues and installations
- Good knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL
- Knowledge of Configurators, JVMs, archiving and purging
- Knowledge of oracle database wait events, Database and Application parameters
- Ability to fine tune the concurrent processing in large EBS environment
- Good knowledge of OEM
- Good exposure on Shell scripting, DB apps performance analysis
- The Oracle APPS DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, upgrading, administrating, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloning, Patching, Backup and restore of Oracle EBS
- Responsible for reviewing application databases, identify performance bottlenecks and fixing those
- HANA Mandatory
- Strong BASIS working experience in SAP netweaver S/4 based applications running on HANA DB
- In depth knowledge for SAP HANA Administration along with Troubleshooting performance optimization
- Expertise in HANA DB installation, Upgrade, Refresh Activities, HANA HA DR
- Experience of carrying out detailed analysis of HANA Mini checks, EWA reports
- Knowledge of HANA integration with Solution Manager Focused Run
- Administering knowledge of SYBASIS IQ as Near Line Storage solution
