The Semiconductor Maintenance Technician – AMHS will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) equipment in the Chandler Fab. This includes stockers, tracks, and vehicles. The role requires interfacing with internal and external groups to ensure safety, performance, and reliability, as well as completing documentation and training. Candidates must be able to work 12-hour compressed shifts, potentially night shifts, and be physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must have:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AMHS equipment
  • Interface with internal and external groups for safety, performance, and reliability
  • Complete documentation and train others as necessary
  • Work compressed 12-hour shifts (potentially night shift)
  • Physically capable of standing for up to 12 hours
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with AMHS equipment (stockers, tracks, vehicles)
  • AA, AS, AAS (or higher) in electronics or industrial engineering
  • Education along with experience or military training
  • Working proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • PC repair and rebuild (hardware and software) skills
  • Specific knowledge of semiconductor operations and AMHS maintenance job functions

Job Details

The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) equipment area.

Familiarity of AMHS equipment is preferred. This equipment includes and is not limited to:

  • Stockers (including reticle stockers): DOS and NT systems; closed-loop servo system; SCARA 4-axis arm; Linear 5-axis arm; safety circuits; power supplies; and other related equipment and systems.
  • Tracks: DOS and NT controller; Bitbus or Lan communications; horizontal transfers; turntables; fire doors; parking lots; elevators; car charging stations; power supplies; and other related equipment and systems.
  • Vehicles: Bitbus and LAN controlled; battery pack power supplies; IR communication systems; and other related equipment and systems.

The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others as necessary.

The position requires working compressed shifts (12 hours), job opening may be on night shift.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

AA, AS, AAS, (or higher) in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.

Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) as well as lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.

Additional Knowledge requirements:

Working proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred. PC repair and rebuild (hardware and software) are preferred skills for this position.

Experience:

Specific knowledge is preferred of semiconductor operations and AMHS maintenance job functions.
