Job Description

Sperasoft seeks a talented Senior 3D Vegetation Artist to create diverse plant assets (trees, bushes, grass) for real-time games using Unreal Engine 5. Responsibilities include the full 3D pipeline (modeling, sculpting, texturing, retopology, UV), developing plant sets for various biomes, collaborating with other artists, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate possesses strong 3D modeling and texturing skills using software such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Designer/Painter, and experience with game engines (Unreal Engine 5 preferred).
Must Have:
  • Experience in game industry vegetation modeling
  • Proficient in 3D modeling & texturing tools
  • Unreal Engine 5 experience (plus)
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush (plus)
  • Understanding of game development pipelines
  • Teamwork & communication skills

Description

Sperasoft is looking for a talented, experienced Middle to Senior 3D vegetation Artist who can create different types of plants and organic (trees, bushes, grass, etc.). If you are keen on vegetation creation and would like to be a part of a great team, working on new IP, we are waiting for you!


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and create real-time vegetation game assets going through full 3D pipeline (modeling, sculpting, texture creation, retopology, UV, etc.) in Unreal Engine 5;
  • Develop sets of plants for different biomes;
  • Analyze, plan, and collect references for the assets; work with concepts/references and according to the guideline;
  • Ensure a proper integration for every asset you create considering technical and gameplay constraints;
  • Obtain Lead Artists guidance and approval as required to advance tasks;
  • Continue to refine artistic abilities and learn new software packages and/or in-house tools;
  • Coordinate with Senior and/or Lead Artists with mentoring Junior 3D Artists as well as sharing best project practices with them;
  • Contribute to the team-oriented environment

Requirements

  • Experience in vegetation modelling in game industry;
  • Strong understanding of 3D modeling tools used in vegetation production (either 3D Max, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Speed Tree or Houdini);
  • Strong understanding of Texture creation tools (either Photoshop, Substance Designer or Substance Painter)
  • Experience in any Game Engine, such as Unreal Engine 5, Unity or others is a plus;
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush is a plus;
  • Good understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for game development;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • A creative, collaborative and innovative mindset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
