Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for various accounting processes including preparing journal entries, preparing reports, reviewing and analyzing data, and preparing financial statements. This role involves handling complex accounting tasks within the department and working collaboratively as a team player. Key responsibilities include monthly revenue and receivable journal entries, account analysis, management reporting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with SEC clients preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Must Have:
  • Prepare monthly revenue and receivable journal entries, including data entry and review.
  • Perform detailed monthly reviews and account analysis of all related revenue and receivable accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to management.
  • Make recommendations and suggestions for improvements and efficiencies related to the preparation of monthly revenue and receivable journal entries.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation, analysis and problem solving for some of the more complicated processes and accounts in the department.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements and various SEC filings.
  • Assist with the accounting and reporting integration of new businesses.
  • Work on special projects and handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Manage policies to ensure accounting for all aspects within accounting and reporting comply with GAAP and SOX and ensure all policies are reviewed and updated.
  • Adhere to internal control/compliance policy procedures and has high consciousness/awareness about the Code of Ethics.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • 4 or more years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to analyze and assess processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills required.
  • Must have the ability to facilitate teamwork and cooperation at all levels within the organization and be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent PC skills are needed with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
