Job Summary

Trek is seeking an energetic Retail Accountant to provide Finance support in various functions. This role involves partnering with the Finance Controller, assisting with global programs, and internal communication. Collaboration with different teams is vital. Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this hybrid role.

Must Have

  • Posting of monthly Profit & Loss journals, ensuring accurate P&L position
  • Regular checking of invoices
  • Working on allocation of expenses as per TP guidelines
  • Post Month End JEs after review by the controller
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations on time every month
  • Support in external and internal audit
  • Support in Month end deck preparation and Analysis
  • Maintain accurate Fixed Assets register
  • Timely closure of statutory compliance and tracking progress
  • GST return calculation and filing
  • Coordinate for advance tax
  • Direct tax TDS, Advance tax working and discussion
  • Coordination with HR Team in reply to Employees queries
  • Owns the compliance calendar
  • Coordinate and close state audit related open points
  • Coordinate and close internal Audit points
  • Annual Budget planning
  • Tracking of monthly spend against the budgeted spend
  • Monthly forecast loading
  • Implementation of Trek best practices (GSD)
  • Supporting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) developments and process improvement projects
  • Support in Automation initiative
  • Qualifications - CA / CMA
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in the Finance field
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, JD Edwards or SAP
  • Ability to provide incredible hospitality
  • Bring energy and a drive for high standards to the role
  • No drama, roll up your sleeves approach
  • Proactive and Positive attitude
  • Flexibility to adapt to adjusting priorities and be open to new ideas

Job Description

Trek is seeking an energetic Retail Accountant who is willing to provide Finance support in a variety of functions. This role will partner with our Finance Controller and assist in the multiple programs we run globally as well as communication internally. In addition to those tasks, collaboration with the different teams will be vital in this role due to the differences each group has and how business is conducted. Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, and a “get stuff done” attitude will make anyone in this role wildly successful!

Position Responsibilities

Month End Accounting and Bookkeeping:

  • Posting of monthly Profit & Loss journals, ensuring an accurate P&L position by the end of Working Day 2.
  • Regular checking of invoices.
  • Working on allocation of expenses as per TP guidelines and booking as per agreed term.
  • Post Month End JEs after review by the controller.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations on time every month, ensuring all balances are well understood & documented, supporting a ‘no surprises’ culture.
  • Support in external and internal audit.
  • Support in Month end deck preparation and Analysis.
  • Maintain accurate Fixed Assets register.

Ensure the 100% Statutory Compliance:

  • Timely closure of statutory compliance and tracking the progress.
  • GST return calculation and filing.
  • Coordinate for advance tax.
  • Direct tax TDS, Advance tax working and discussion.
  • Coordination with HR Team in reply to Employees queries.
  • Owns the compliance calendar.

Coordination with Statutory and Internal Audit:

  • Coordinate and close the state audit related open point, support in sharing the documents at month end.
  • Coordinate and close the internal Audit points.

Support in the preparation of Annual Budget Planning:

  • Annual Budget planning.
  • Tracking of monthly spend against the budgeted spend.
  • Monthly forecast loading.

Support and Implementation of Best Practices:

  • Implementation of Trek best practices (GSD).
