Intrepid Studios’ Ashes of Creation team is looking for a highly motivated and talented Senior Anti-Cheat Engineer to join us, here in beautiful southern California. This role will report to the Lead Engineer and support our engineering team by implementing updates and new key features on Ashes of Creation to ensure that we deliver great gameplay and protection from cheating/abuse for our valued community! Responsibilities
- Work closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to ensure a great player experience
- Design and develop gameplay features across client and server to mitigate cheating and abuse
- Maintain familiarity of the game’s design, for both the live product and for future patches
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to build sustainable and maintainable technologies
Requirements
- A passion to make life difficult for the “bad guys”
- Mastery of C++
- A minimum of 7 years’ game programming experience
- A strong motivation to analyze and improve systems and infrastructure
- A solid understanding of Windows Internals and WINAPI.
- Self-motivation and willingness to participate in many areas of game development
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Pluses
- Experience with securing applications, game cheating, or client/network exploitation
- Proficiency in multi-threaded systems
- Previous experience designing gameplay systems for MMO games
- Bachelor’s degrees in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with code and algorithmic optimization to improve performance
- A passion for playing MMO games
