FTSE Russell is seeking a motivated Sales Associate to manage and grow a book of business among U.S.-based Asset Managers. This highly visible, client-facing role blends strategic sales execution with cross-functional collaboration, focusing on deepening client engagement and driving new revenue. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the investment ecosystem, a consultative sales mindset, and a proven track record in financial services sales, contributing to a fast-growing, globally recognized index provider.
Must Have:
  • Manage and grow a defined regional territory, targeting over $1MM in annual revenue
  • Consistently close deals on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline, track activity, and drive accurate forecasting
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver value-driven solutions
  • Serve as a trusted representative of FTSE Russell, maintaining professionalism and integrity
  • 2–3 years of experience in financial services sales, institutional/buy-side roles, or adjacent industries
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills with a data-driven approach

About the Role

FTSE Russell’s Index business has a proven track record of double-digit growth, and we’re looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Associate to help us continue that trajectory. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing a book of business among U.S.-based Asset Managers, using your market insight and relationship-building skills to deepen client engagement and drive new revenue.

This is a highly visible and client-facing role that blends strategic sales execution with cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the investment ecosystem, a consultative sales mindset, and a desire to contribute to a fast-growing, globally recognized index provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined regional territory, targeting over $1MM in annual revenue through a combination of account management and prospecting.
  • Consistently close deals on a monthly and quarterly basis, aligned with FTSE Russell’s strategic priorities.
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline, track activity, and drive accurate forecasting.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including product, legal, and account management—to deliver value-driven solutions to clients.
  • Serve as a trusted representative of FTSE Russell, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in financial services sales, institutional/buy-side roles, or adjacent industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and a strong appetite for client growth.
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with a data-driven approach to market engagement.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, the asset management industry, and the investment ecosystem.
  • Ability to simplify complex deal structures and navigate client objections with confidence and clarity.
  • Skilled in building relationships with senior client stakeholders (CIOs, heads of product, portfolio managers, and distribution leaders).
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings, industry events, and on-site presentations.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $67,800 - $113,200.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
