Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to contribute to the development of CyberArk’s enterprise SaaS platform. The role focuses on designing, building, and improving backend services and large-scale infrastructure components. You will design and implement backend services for a high-scale, high-availability SaaS product, lead the development of a new rule-engine solution, and work on complex architectural challenges to improve system scalability and maintainability. This role involves end-to-end feature development, ensuring code quality, performance, observability, and security, and collaborating with architects and other engineering teams.

Must Have

• Design and implement backend services for high-scale, high-availability SaaS product.
• Lead and contribute to the development of a new rule-engine solution.
• Work on complex architectural challenges, improving system scalability, stability, and maintainability.
• Develop new features end-to-end: analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure code quality, performance, observability, and security.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams.
• Strong backend development skills and solid knowledge of server-side fundamentals.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and cloud technologies.
• Experience in scale-enterprise application development in cloud/SaaS environment.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, or DynamoDB.
• Solid understanding of security and networking implementation and best practices.

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS services.
• Experience with CDK.
• Experience with modern CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub, Jenkins and Artifactory.
• Experienced with microservice/event-oriented design and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering related field/technology Elite unit alumni with relevant experience.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and cloud technologies.

• specifically AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS or DynamoDB.
