Job Description

Disney Digital Entertainment, a division of Disney Experiences, is seeking talented individuals passionate about pushing the boundaries of game engine and rendering technology. As a Senior Build Engineer, you will have a central role supporting multiple Disney game and content teams, defining best practices and setting technical standards across builds, pipelines, and version control systems. You will influence the stability and performance of studio-wide tools and infrastructure, and own the design and maintenance of automation systems, tools and scripts, ensuring smooth and high-performance experiences for global audiences.
Must have:
  • Drive optimization and scalability of build pipelines for large-scale, multi-platform projects.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools to streamline workflows and reduce build times.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex CI/CD or integration issues.
  • Collaborate with SRE on revision control; Perforce, URC, Git and related tooling like Perforce Code Review (Swarm).
  • Set up and maintain build systems and CI/CD; Horde, UBA.
  • Act as a trusted technical partner to content creators, engineers, and production teams.
  • Help set technical direction for shared pipeline tools across multiple projects.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across geographically distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with Python, C# and scripting commonly used in build automation.
  • Experience managing large Perforce depots, including performance tuning and replication.
  • Experience with cross-platform builds (Windows, Mac, Linux, consoles).
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with Docker or containerized builds
  • Familiarity with cloud-based CI/CD workflows (e.g., AWS, GCP)

As a critical part of our team, you will leverage your expertise to build and optimize feature-rich engines, ensuring smooth and high-performance experiences for global audiences.

As a Senior Build Engineer, you will have a central role supporting multiple Disney game and content teams, an opportunity to define best practices and set technical standards across builds, pipelines, and version control systems.

You will have hands-on influence over the stability and performance of studio-wide tools and infrastructure, and own the design and maintenance of automation systems, tools and scripts.

This role can be based remotely in Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Norway.

What You Will Do

  • Drive optimization and scalability of build pipelines for large-scale, multi-platform projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity with Python, C# and scripting commonly used in build automation.
  • Experience managing large Perforce depots, including performance tuning and replication.

  • Familiarity with Docker or containerized builds is a plus.
