Job Description
N-iX is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the technical delivery of modern data platform solutions. This role involves end-to-end development and implementation of scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-native data platforms, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability. The engineer will also mentor a team, participate in solution design, translate business needs into data models, and contribute to data architecture. This position requires a passion for building cloud-native data solutions and a desire to grow into a broader architecture role.
Good To Have:
- Knowledge of Airflow, dbt, Kafka, or similar tools preferred.
- Familiarity with architectural concepts like Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and cloud-native data architectures.
- Willingness to travel for business and engage directly with clients.
- Gradually take on architecture ownership for projects.
- Support pre-sales with technical scoping and effort estimation.
- Stay on top of modern data platform trends (e.g., Data Mesh, Lakehouse, real-time analytics, observability).
- Explore new tools and techniques and contribute to internal Data & Analytics accelerators.
Must Have:
- Lead end-to-end development and implementation of scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-native data platforms.
- Ensure performance, security, and reliability of data solutions through CI/CD, testing, and automation.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers; review code and enforce standards.
- Participate in solution design with architects and senior stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into data models, transformation logic, and orchestration workflows.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
- Strong SQL, Python, and Spark skills.
- Strong expertise in AWS or Azure and Snowflake modern data platforms.
- Proven experience building data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses, and streaming pipelines.
- Experience leading delivery teams or mentoring other engineers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, demonstrate value, and refine deliverables
- Participate in pre-sales activities: help shape proposals, provide technical insights, and create solution roadmaps
- Stay on top of modern data platform trends (e.g., Data Mesh, Lakehouse, real-time analytics, observability)
- Explore new tools and techniques - contribute to internal Data & Analytics accelerators and reference architectures
Requirements
