Job Description

As a Data Visualization Consultant, you help our clients solve complex data issues. You collect data from various sources, optimize datasets for visualization, and develop insightful and user-friendly dashboards. With your expertise and Sopra Steria's design-thinking methodology, you increase the quality of reporting and visualizations for our clients. In addition, with your input, you contribute to the vision and further development of our Data Visualization team.

Insight into data is important. With Sopra Steria's Data Visualization solution, we help organizations precisely with this. We do this by visualizing information and data. We make abstract information accessible and understandable. We translate relevant data into clear tables, graphs, diagrams, and heatmaps. Based on the right insights, we can then make well-considered decisions about next steps. Because: seeing is understanding. Seeing builds trust. Technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, and D3.js hold no secrets for us.

Job Requirements

You have knowledge and experience in the following:

• You have at least 2 years of experience with data visualization and can demonstrate this with a demo or portfolio.
• You are a creative yet pragmatic person who does not lose sight of the details.
• You have knowledge of best practices and principles of visual design.
• You have at least 2 years of experience with a visualization tool or library such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, D3.js, etc. You can demonstrate this via your portfolio or via a certification. Knowledge of other tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C# is a plus.
• You have experience optimizing dashboard performance.
• Knowledge of and feeling for UX design is also a plus.
• You don't mind acting as an expert and coaching others.
• You communicate fluently, both with colleagues, clients, and end-users of your visualizations.
• Data visualization is your passion.
• Adding your dashboards or portfolio to your application is a plus.
• You are fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
