The client is a fast-growing leader in sustainable packaging solutions. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Azure Engineer for a part-time role to lead the architecture, development, and continuous improvement of their delivery platform using Azure and GitHub Actions. This role involves bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting CI/CD pipelines for new web applications, and championing quality, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of DevOps experience with deep mastery of Azure and GitHub Actions.
Must Have
- Lead architecture, development, and continuous improvement of delivery platform using Azure and GitHub Actions.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex DevOps concepts into business value.
- Engage with developers daily, adapting existing CI/CD pipelines for new React + Node web applications.
- Negotiate and advocate for technical choices, balancing expertise with engineering team input.
- Proactively surface risks, manage ambiguity, and guide through technical trade-offs and project challenges.
- Champion quality, security, and compliance, sharing experience of safe development practices and robust architectural principles.
- 5+ years of DevOps experience.
- Proven hands-on software engineering/DevOps experience with deep mastery of Azure.
- Expertise in GitHub & GitHub Actions (repository rules, environments, CI/CD pipelines, quality gates).
- Strong skills in communicating and collaborating across engineering teams.
- History of DevOps "architecture" experience.
- Outstanding command of written and spoken English.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Azure Engineer (Part-time) to join our team.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, development, and continuous improvement of our delivery platform, advocating for modern, scalable, and secure solutions utilizing Azure and GitHub Actions.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders—translating complex DevOps concepts into business value, and ensuring that solutions reflect both business objectives and technology best practices.
- Engage deeply with developers on a daily basis, adapting existing CI/CD pipelines to meet the specific needs of our new React + Node web application.
- Negotiate and advocate for technical choices, balancing your expertise with input from the engineering team to deliver the best outcomes, including implementing best practices and quality gates.
- Bring the maturity of your experience to bear—proactively surfacing risks, managing ambiguity, and guiding others through technical trade-offs and project challenges.
- Champion quality, security, and compliance, sharing your experience of safe development practices, agile delivery, and robust architectural principles, especially concerning repository rules and environments.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- Proven hands-on software engineering/DevOps experience—with deep mastery of Azure is critical for deployment specifics.
- Expertise in GitHub & GitHub Actions (repository rules, environments, CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, etc.).
- Strong skills in communicating and collaborating across engineering teams—able to explain complex ideas and operate independently.
- History of DevOps "architecture" experience, including the ability to suggest where best practices can be implemented.
- Outstanding command of written and spoken English—a must for clear collaboration, technical discussions, and documentation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and a drive for personal and organizational improvement.
- Experience in building systems from the ground up (Sprint 0) in an urgent, fast-paced environment is a strong plus.
- Start ASAP providing an initial resource commitment of 10 to 20 hours per week for the remainder of the year to establish the foundational work.
