FICO is seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their world-class team, focusing on the delivery of secure cloud solutions and products for enterprise customers. The role involves designing highly available, redundant public cloud solutions using IaaS and PaaS for FICO applications. You will drive enterprise standards for technology, security compliance, and systems interoperability. Responsibilities include supporting cloud computing, server virtualization, orchestration, automation, continuous integration, storage management, and core computing services. The engineer will propose infrastructure and delivery principles for the FICO Cloud, gather requirements, and complete application designs with architects and product managers. Collaboration with other engineers on design, analysis, architecture, implementation, unit testing, code reviews, and process enhancements is key. Optimizing performance and scalability to meet business goals and delivering customer solutions using open-source and commercial technologies are also crucial. A significant aspect of the role is delivering a full automation pipeline using CI/CD/DevOps concepts and tools, and mentoring/training junior software engineers, providing technical direction and project leadership.
Must have:
  • 15+ years of post-baccalaureate experience in computer engineering
  • Design highly available, redundant public cloud solutions (IaaS/PaaS)
  • 10+ years of automation experience with CI/CD/DevOps
  • Experience with Kubernetes for highly available applications
  • Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience working with Docker
  • Strong programming skills in Shell/Python or scripting in Linux
  • Experience managing infrastructure as code (Terraform, Crossplane, ArgoCD)
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
Good to have:
  • Kubernetes Certification
  • AWS or GCP or Azure Certification
  • Familiarity with make/cmake for C/C++ software development

What You’ll Contribute

  • Design highly available, redundant, public cloud solutions utilizing IaaS and PaaS (Infrastructure and Platform as a service) for FICO applications.

  • Drive enterprise standards around technology, security compliance and systems interoperability for FICO products/solutions

  • Support Cloud computing (private, public, hybrid), server virtualization, orchestration, automation continuous integration, storage management and core computing services.

  • Propose infrastructure and delivery principles in the FICO Cloud.

  • Confer with architects, product managers, and engineers to gather requirements and complete application design.

  • Collaborate with other engineers on design, analysis, architecture/modeling, implementation, unit testing, code reviews and process enhancements.

  • Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet business goals.

  • Deliver customer solutions using open source and commercial technologies. 

  • Deliver full automation pipeline using CI/CD/DevOps concepts, tools and technologies (Github Actions, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Git/Stash, Nexus, Puppet/Chef).

  • Mentor/train junior software engineers and provide technical direction and project leadership.

What We’re Seeking

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

  • 15+ years of post-baccalaureate experience in a computer engineering position or related occupation.

  • Experience designing and operating highly available, redundant, public cloud architecture solutions utilizing IaaS and PaaS.

  • 10+ years of automation experience using CI/CD/DevOps concepts.

  • Experience working with Kubernetes to design and deploy highly available applications. Certification is desired.

  • Working knowledge of AWS (preferred) or GPC or Azure. Certification is desired.

  • Experience working with Docker.

  • Strong programming skills in Shell/Python or other scripting language in Linux environment.

  • Experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform, Crossplane and ArgoCD.

  • Familiar with make/cmake to develop C/C++ software.

  • Experience providing junior engineers with mentorship, training and project leadership.
