Senior DevOps Engineer

Scopely is looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our BingoBash team in Bangalore as a full time employee!

As a member of the platform team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the infrastructure for a high traffic mobile games platform used across multiple industry leading mobile games. You will work side by side with the application developers to improve performance, troubleshoot servers and roll out software upgrades. You will also work with the team to architect/refactor components from the legacy platform into our next generation AWS hosted microservices platform.

• Managing AWS infrastructure.
• Upgrade servers and packages
• Work with application profiling tools to identify key performance bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Support high availability & high traffic infra
• Managing and creating Jenkins build scripts.
• Managing and creating Terraform scripts.
• Contribute to the creation of system support documents such as run-books and play-books
• Creating and managing Incident Management (PagerDuty) escalation policies, integration of PagerDuty with Datadog
• Creating and managing Datadog alerts
• Managing applications logs through ELK, OpenSearch, Cloudwatch etc
• Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines.
• Participate in a chat-ops driven build process.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-8 years of professional work experience
• Strong experience on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Good hands on experience in PagerDuty, Datadog, Nagios, Cloud Security
• Good hands on experience in securing backend apis techniques
• Very good communication skills
• Ability to analyze current internal products and propose enhancements to stability and interoperability
• Ability to work within an agile, fast paced team
• Solid experience with mobile and web applications
• Experience in tuning and scaling high traffic public facing web applications.
• Experience in managing
• Java based multiplayer application
• PHP based application e.g. LAMP
• Containerized applications
• Systems administrations experience with AWS, Linux OS
• Understanding of networking basics, e.g. TCP, UDP
