Exabeam is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of its Threat Center and Automation platform products. This US-based role involves managing distributed engineering teams across various geographies, ensuring the delivery of scalable and reliable software solutions. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years in backend/frontend engineering
  • 6+ years managing enterprise software development
  • Expertise in Java, SQL/NoSQL databases, distributed systems
  • Proficient with containerization, microservices, Kubernetes
  • Demonstrated success with Agile and CI/CD
  • Collaborative leader focused on team success

Job Summary:

Exabeam is seeking an accomplished Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development of our Threat Center and Automation platform products. This pivotal role based in the US is responsible for guiding distributed engineering teams across multiple geographies, ensuring the delivery of highly reliable, scalable, and available software solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about security investigation and demonstrates a strong commitment to Exabeam’s core values: teamwork, accountability, integrity, and humility. Experience building generative AI applications is highly desirable. 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management 
                  Lead and mentor multiple distributed teams of 8 to 10 software engineers (back-end, front-end, and SDET) located across different regions. 
                  Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance within a geographically dispersed engineering organization. 
                  Provide ongoing performance assessment, coaching, and professional development to team members. 
                  Communicate effectively—both in writing and verbally—across teams, departments, and international locations. 
Cross-Functional Collaboration 
                  Partner with Product Management, Customer Success, Quality Engineering, Systems Integration, and Performance Testing teams to deliver holistic solutions. 
                  Collaborate closely with peer engineering groups such as Data Platform and Infrastructure to ensure seamless integration and alignment. 
                  Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company and geographies to drive shared goals. 
Project & Process Ownership 
                  Oversee agile execution, including task planning, code reviews, and day-to-day project management. 
                  Ensure timely delivery of projects, proactively addressing risks and resolving conflicts within or between scrum teams. 
                  Participate in release and sprint planning, and drive continuous process improvement. 
                  Take ownership of product quality, including the implementation of automated testing for unit and functional tests. 
Customer Focus 
                  Work directly with Product Management to define requirements and user stories. 
                  Collaborate with Customer Success teams to resolve critical customer issues, demonstrating a hands-on approach when necessary. 
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
                  5+ years of hands-on experience in backend or micro front-end engineering as an individual contributor. 
                  6+ years of experience managing enterprise software product development, preferably within distributed teams. 
                  Proven expertise in Java, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed systems. 
                  Proficient with containerization, microservices architecture, orchestration, and networking technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
                  Experience with cloud platforms and tools such as Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Pub/Sub and Looker is a strong plus. 
                  Demonstrated success with Agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices. 
                  Experience building or leading teams developing generative AI applications is highly advantageous. 
                  A collaborative leader who measures personal success by the success of the team and is willing to engage directly in resolving complex product or customer challenges.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $265,400 - $290,563 annually depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
