Senior Environment Artist

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environment Artist to join our team and play a significant role in creating the visual style of an all-new video game franchise. With a focus on stylized art direction, this Senior Environment Artist role will be tasked with bringing the game's many worlds and environments to life and helping create an immersive and engaging experience for players. This role will report directly into the Environment Art Director.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with Art Directors and the team to develop visually rich environments aligned with the game’s vision and style
• Partner with Level Design to balance environmental storytelling, visual polish, and gameplay goals
• Create environments from concept to in-engine implementation: modeling, sculpting, materials, world building, and optimization
• Brainstorm and prototype ideas rapidly in early phases
• Participate in critiques, giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Stay current on industry trends, sharing new techniques and tools with the team

You are a great fit if:

• 5+ years of environment art experience in Unreal Engine
• A strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skill and environments that are performant, beautiful, and playable
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Maya/Blender, ZBrush, Substance, Photoshop, etc.)
• Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and PBR workflows
• Broad knowledge of game engine pipelines and cross-discipline collaboration
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior artists
• Passion for gaming and a unique artistic perspective that elevates player experience

What we offer:

Annual salary range: $130,000-$153,000 USD
