As a 2D-3D Artist at Ubisoft Montreal, you will be crucial in creating visuals for storytelling and cinematic presentations. You will guide the team to maintain artistic consistency while directly contributing to images and animations that support the game’s creative vision. Responsibilities include creating images, editing in Photoshop, researching visual references, producing 2D motion graphics, coordinating deliverables, supporting art direction, setting up 3D scenes, developing concepts, and providing constructive feedback.
Must Have
- Create images based on briefs or concepts
- Execute precise image editing in Photoshop
- Research and present relevant visual references
- Produce simple 2D motion graphics animations (Mograph)
- Coordinate team deliverables to ensure alignment and quality
- Support art direction in preparing and deploying briefs and style guides
- Set up posing, lighting, and rendering in 3D software or game engine
- Develop creative concepts based on specific briefs
- Provide constructive feedback to improve team output
- Proficiency with Photoshop, Maya and/or Blender, After Effects
Good to Have
- Familiarity with Unreal, Anvil, Snowdrop, Vray, Substance, ZBrush, Premiere
- Curiosity in exploring the use of artificial intelligence tools

As a 2D-3D Artist at Ubisoft Montreal, you will play a key role in crafting visuals that enhance storytelling and cinematic presentations. You will guide the team to ensure artistic consistency, while directly contributing to the creation of images and animations that support the game’s creative vision.
What you’ll do
- Create images based on briefs or concepts, following the cinematic art direction.
- Execute precise image editing in Photoshop.
- Research and present relevant visual references that fit the project’s style and universe.
- Produce simple 2D motion graphics animations (Mograph).
- Coordinate team deliverables to ensure alignment with the initial brief and quality standards.
- Support the art direction in preparing and deploying briefs and style guides.
- Set up posing, lighting, and rendering in 3D software or game engine.
- Develop creative concepts based on specific briefs.
- Provide constructive feedback to help improve the team’s output.
