Job Summary
This Senior Full Stack Engineer position within Autodesk's User Profile team focuses on building scalable, high-quality software solutions. The role involves designing and maintaining backend services with GraphQL, Node.js, TypeScript, DynamoDB, and AWS S3, alongside developing React-based front-end applications. Must Have
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using GraphQL APIs, Node.js, TypeScript, DynamoDB, and AWS S3.
- Develop and enhance React-based front-end applications.
- Build and maintain event-driven architectures leveraging Amazon Kinesis and Kafka.
- Develop data pipelines and frameworks, writing optimized SQL scripts.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance by maintaining strong SLAs/SLIs and enforcing robust test coverage.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis), Kafka, and SQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Good to Have
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Node.js, GraphQL, DevOps, Data Tools).
- Utilize LLMs, RAG and AI tools like Cursor for automation and efficiency.

Job Description
Position Overview
This position is within the User Profile team, which is part of the PSET organization at Autodesk. This team’s mission is to Harness the power of user data to deliver enhanced personalized experiences by bridging data silos, providing teams with a unified view of users and allowing for effortless content discovery and meaningful interactions that allow users to understand their relationship with Autodesk.
This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role with significant autonomy. You’ll own major components of our application architecture and work closely with product, design, and platform teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions across the stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using GraphQL APIs, Node.js, TypeScript, DynamoDB, and AWS S3
- Develop and enhance React-based front-end applications with high usability, performance, and accessibility
- Build and maintain event-driven architectures leveraging Amazon Kinesis, Kafka, and related streaming technologies
- Develop data pipelines and frameworks, writing optimized SQL scripts for data transformation and analytics
- Utilize LLMs, RAG and AI tools like Cursor for automation and efficiency
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance by maintaining strong SLAs/SLIs and enforcing robust test coverage
- Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to architect and implement innovative, cross-functional solutions
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentor junior engineers to uphold technical excellence
- Identify and automate manual workflows; design efficient, maintainable features that scale with business growth
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems and maintain operational excellence
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven experience designing and developing API-driven and event-driven architectures
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis), Kafka, and SQL
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA
- A customer-centric mindset — able to translate business requirements into intuitive, scalable solutions
- Certification in one or more relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Node.js, GraphQL, DevOps, Data Tools) is a plus
- Ability to think strategically about architecture while executing with strong attention to detail

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
