Job Summary

This role focuses on event management and execution to build trust with senior customer decision-makers. Responsibilities include planning and executing various events, both in-person and virtual, from conception to success tracking. The manager will ensure memorable conversations and exceptional experiences, working closely with Autodesk Senior Executives, Sales, Account Based Marketing, and Content teams. Key skills required are event strategy, collaboration, communication, storytelling, budget management, and strong project management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, adaptable, and capable of high-level execution in fast-paced environments, interfacing with leadership across the company.

Must Have

  • Build high-value experiences for selected clients and their top executives.
  • Drive innovative in-person experiences focused on building executive relationships.
  • Develop and manage work back plans, cross-functional timelines, and detailed project plans.
  • Lead strategy and execution logistics including budgeting, venue, and vendor management.
  • Drive cross-functional project workstreams to successful execution.
  • Develop and foster stakeholder trust through partnerships and subject matter expertise.

  • Five or more years of experience in end-to-end event project management or Marketing.
  • Strong project and program management experience with emphasis on setting goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Deep knowledge of event program management tactics.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% globally and potentially on weekends.

Job Description

Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for event management and execution with the goal of deepening relationships and building trust with senior customer decision makers. From conception to success tracking, you will be responsible for ensuring events/engagements deliver a memorable conversation and exceptional experience. Events may be in-person or virtual, host or third party, and be of multiple formats including roundtables, hospitality experiences, but also supporting executive summits and more. Strong partnership with Autodesk Senior Executives, Sales, Account Based Marketing and Content teams to activate strategy in line with both marketing and sales objectives is a must.

The ideal candidate will have excellent event strategy, collaboration, communication, storytelling and budget management skills. They should be a self-starter who has demonstrated strong prioritization and project management skills and can navigate complex organizations. They should be highly energetic, adaptable, and have a proven track record of executing at a high level in fast-paced environments – all while interfacing with leadership teams and all levels at the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build high value experiences for selected clients and their top executives, with a focus on marketing engagement measurement, optimization and operational excellence.
  • Drive innovative in-person experiences with focus on building relationships on executive level.
  • Develop and manage work back plan and cross-functional timelines, detailed project plans, and workstream requirements, act as the source of truth for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and manage strategy and execution/logistics including budgeting and financial management, venue, agency, calendaring/scheduling, speaker prep, contracts, vendors, deliverables tracking, delighters, food and beverage, etc.
  • Drive all cross-functional project workstreams to successful execution, track cross-functional deliverables and escalate when necessary.
  • Develop and foster stakeholder trust by initiating and nurturing partnerships and delivering consistent subject matter expertise.
  • Effectively manage resources and priorities to deliver against competing projects. Identify and problem solve resourcing risks.
  • Optimize the event infrastructure by designing and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes, in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Global Executive Engagement Programs.
  • Demonstrate measurable business impact based on the goals outlined for each experience. Use post-event data to inform recommendations for future events.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in end-to-end event project management or Marketing
  • Strong project and program management experience with emphasis on setting goals, budgets, and timelines, mitigating risks, and managing delivery through multiple partners and dependencies.
  • Deep knowledge around event program management tactics, including development of workback plans and timelines, budgets, briefs, end-to-end project plans, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% globally and potentially on weekends

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, using data to assess the event performance and objectively recognizing improvement opportunities. Proven ability to drive informed, data-based decisions.
  • Experience with maximizing ROI, driving continuous improvements of tools and processes, raising the bar on the level of executive customer experience, and amplifying business impact for the company.
  • Strategic thinker and creative problem-solver, ability to bring strategic objectives to life through event experiences.
  • Ability to interface effectively with and influence all levels of management and functional disciplines – in particular senior leadership
