Senior Product Manager, Flow Capture - Canada Remote

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager for our Media & Entertainment team, focusing on Flow Capture, a robust cloud-based platform designed for digital dailies and review, primarily used in the film, television, and game production industries. This role involves defining product vision and strategy, owning the roadmap, advocating for customers, and collaborating with development teams. The manager will conduct continuous discovery, make data-based decisions, track industry trends, and cultivate a developer community strategy, ensuring quality and compliance.

Must Have

• Collaborate with leaders to define and execute the vision, strategy, and operational plans for Flow Capture
• Develop and manage actionable product roadmaps, prioritizing impactful workflows and enhancements
• Act as the customer-facing leader, engaging regularly with customers and partners
• Work closely with leads across Development, Design and Architecture to ensure alignment
• Conduct ongoing customer discovery and validation to inform iterative development
• Leverage customer insight, usability studies, research, and market analysis to shape product concepts
• Track global trends in content production and technology, maintaining competitive knowledge
• Cultivate a developer community strategy, fostering engagement and feedback
• Translate customer needs and technical challenges into actionable story maps and solutions
• Evaluate technology delivered by Development for technical completion, performance, quality, and compliance

• Experience managing projects in a large organization and working in Agile/SCRUM environments

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Media & Entertainment team, focusing on Flow Capture, a robust cloud-based platform designed for digital dailies and review, primarily used in the film, television, and game production industries. This role will report into the Sr Director of the Flow Capture Team. This report will have managerial responsibilities to manage one direct report based in Vancouver.

If you have a deep understanding of film and TV production workflows and technology, coupled with the ability to represent the voice of customers in devising and executing product strategies, this is the opportunity for you. In this role, you will meet with customers and our partners regularly to inform and validate our product strategy and roadmap. You will also collaborate closely with development teams to inform and deliver on our product roadmap that prioritizes the most impactful solutions.

The role will be working very closely with the team in New Zealand and US. The role is remote-based in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Product Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with leaders to define and execute the vision, strategy, and operational plans for Flow Capture
• Roadmap Ownership: Develop and manage actionable product roadmaps, prioritizing impactful workflows and enhancements while managing risks and dependencies
• Customer Advocacy: Act as the customer-facing leader, engaging regularly with customers and partners to inform and validate product strategy, ensuring their needs drive product direction
• Work closely with leads across Development, Design and Architecture to ensure complete alignment between business goals and development work. Be able to collaborate and get help from counterparts at the right time
• Continuous Discovery: Conduct ongoing customer discovery and validation to inform iterative development and maximize impact
• Data-based decision-making including prioritization across multiple initiatives with competing priorities. Leverage customer insight, usability studies, research, and market analysis to shape product concepts and requirements
• Industry & Market Expertise: Track global trends in content production and technology, maintaining competitive knowledge and guiding innovation
• Developer Community Strategy: Cultivate a developer community strategy, fostering engagement and feedback from production artists and engineers
• Problem-Solving: Translate customer needs and technical challenges into actionable story maps and solutions, guiding development priorities
• Quality & Compliance: Evaluate technology delivered by Development for technical completion, performance, quality, and compliance

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in product management or development, with significant exposure to media & entertainment (feature film, animation, or game development frameworks and methodologies)
• Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to collaborate across teams and organizations to deliver integrated solutions
• Strategic Decision-Making: Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, make difficult trade-offs, and prioritize effectively
• Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of engaging both executive stakeholders and external customers
• Simplifying Complexity: Adept at breaking down complex ideas into concise, impactful insights for diverse audiences
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep Domain Knowledge: Expertise in Cloud Collaboration for film and TV production workflows and technology, with a strong point of view on customer pain points and solutions related to review
