FX Product Manager - Global Payment

The Global Payment team at ByteDance is seeking an FX Product Manager to design and implement FX products for ByteDance Payment Business. This role involves understanding foreign exchange management in the overseas payment industry, analyzing business and market data, optimizing trading strategies, and managing relationships with bank partners. Candidates should have a background in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Quantitative Finance, or Financial Engineering, with relevant experience in financial or payment institutions.

Must Have

• Design general solutions and FX products for ByteDance Payment Business.
• Familiarity with foreign exchange management operations in overseas payment industry and cross-border e-commerce.
• Ability to independently analyze and research business and market data.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytic, Quantitative Finance, or Financial Engineering.
• Relevant working experience as Data Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Software Engineer, or Product Manager in Financial/Payment Institutions.
• Experience in Global Markets of Financial Institutions, Payment Institutions, or related product design.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, enthusiasm, and ability to cope with challenges and pressure.
• Self-driven with high level of teamwork.

Good to Have

• 2 years of relevant working experience as Analyst, Software Engineer, or Product Manager.
• Familiarity with various FX trading and hedging instruments.
• Experience in automated FX trading system.
• Experience with financial time series data analysis.
• Thorough understanding of FX regulations and compliance requirements in SEA, US, EU.

Responsibilities

About Global Payment The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

• Design general solutions and FX products to support ByteDance Payment Business in various countries, including end to end product implementation.
• Familiar with the operations of foreign exchange management of the overseas payment industry and cross-border e-commerce platform, understand customers' potential needs for FX management products through payment, and have good problem-solving ideas and product management methods.
• Ability to independently analyze and research business data and market data, and able to issue relevant reports and optimize pricing/trading strategies.
• Familiar with the FX product capabilities of global banks, especially eFX wise, and able to lead business relationships with bank partners.
• Thorough understanding of FX regulations and compliance requirements in SEA, US, EU will be a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree and above, with majors in Computer Science, Data Analytic, Quantitative Finance or Financial Engineering, etc.
• Relevant working experience as Data Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Software Engineer or Product Manager in Financial Institution or Payment Institutions
• Experience in Global Markets of Financial Institutions, Payment Institutions or related product design
• Entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm, and ability to cope well with challenges and pressure
• Self-driven and can maintain a high level of teamwork

Preferred Qualifications:
