As a Senior Game Designer you will have to determine the structure of a game, which includes its rules, objectives, systems and features. You are required to communicate these game elements to various Production team members and provide the direction needed to deliver the intended user experience. You should conceive the game’s overall user experience and interaction scenarios to design user journeys, as well as user interfaces. You are also required to train game testers to play the game, making sure that the game elements are balanced and that they understand what is expected of the finished product.
As a Senior Game Designer, you must be able to work closely with a vast team which includes game developers, backend developers, technical lead, artists, art director, QA, customer support, marketing and social media. You are expected to have a high level of industry experience and knowledge. We will be looking forward to seeing the portfolio of the projects that you have worked on.
Since Game development is an intricately woven process involving different teams, you should be able to communicate your feedback to different team members and also accept feedback on their work.
We will be evaluating whether you have a thorough understanding of F2P mobile gameplay. You should possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as have narrative development skills. As a passionate GD, you are expected to possess excellent user interface design skills. As a strategic thinker you must display excellent imagination and creativity while being able to work both as part of a team and independently.
In this role, you are responsible to ensure that the entire team understands the concept and vision played out by the Creative/Game director. As the development progresses, the Senior Game designer must take the liberty to adjust the original specifications in order to comply with technical constraints and new workaround methods devised by the team.
