Job Summary
PLUMMY is seeking a Senior GameDev Engineer (C++) to join their team and work on the live mobile title Star Merge. The role involves tackling complex challenges, driving performance, stability, and player-facing improvements. Responsibilities include designing and implementing gameplay features, optimizing mobile game performance, integrating third-party SDKs, debugging production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept to release. The ideal candidate will contribute to architecture, code quality, and tooling improvements.
Must Have
- Design, implement, and maintain gameplay features and technical systems in C++.
- Work on mobile game performance and stability (ANRs, crashes, memory usage, build size).
- Integrate and maintain third-party SDKs (ads, analytics, crash reporting, observability, customer support).
- Debug and fix complex production issues, including hard-to-reproduce bugs.
- Collaborate with game designers, analysts, UA, QA, and other developers.
- Contribute to improving architecture, code quality, and tooling.
- Take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
- 5+ years of experience as a C++ developer in mobile games or interactive apps (Android/iOS).
- Experience with game engines (in-house/custom or popular engines).
- Ability to debug difficult issues (crashes, memory leaks, performance problems).
- Experience integrating SDKs (ad monetization, analytics, crash reporting, customer support).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a finisher mindset.
- Comfortable working remotely and autonomously.
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Good to Have
- Experience with liveops / frequently updated mobile games.
- Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., crash logging, performance monitoring).
- Experience with data-driven features (working with analytics and UA).
- Interest in architecture and code quality (modularization, refactoring, technical debt management).

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain gameplay features and technical systems in C++ and our existing tech stack.
- Work on mobile game performance and stability (ANRs, crashes, memory usage, build size).
- Integrate and maintain third-party SDKs (ads, analytics, crash reporting, observability, customer support).
- Debug and fix complex production issues, including hard-to-reproduce bugs.
- Collaborate with game designers, analysts, UA, QA, and other developers to deliver features from idea to release.
- Contribute to improving our architecture, code quality, and tooling.
- Take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion, including testing and release support.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a C++ developer in mobile games or interactive apps (Android/iOS).
- Experience with game engines (in-house/custom or popular engines such as Unity, Godot, Cocos2dx, Unreal Engine, etc.).
- Ability to debug difficult issues (crashes, memory leaks, performance problems).
- Experience integrating SDKs (ad monetization, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a finisher mindset, with attention to detail and a focus on stability and performance in production.
- Comfortable working remotely and autonomously, coordinating with a distributed team.
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Nice-to-have
- Experience with liveops / frequently updated mobile games.
- Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., crash logging, performance monitoring).
- Experience with data-driven features (working with analytics and UA).
