Job Description

Owlcat Games seeks a Senior Level Designer (Gameplay/Mechanics) to design gameplay within levels, implement quest mechanics based on provided narrative design, and integrate all quest elements (gameplay, locations, dialogues, cutscenes) into engaging experiences using UE5. Responsibilities include driving quest development, planning and requesting assets, collaborating with various teams, and maintaining design documentation. The ideal candidate possesses at least 2 years' experience in game design, specifically as a Quest or Mission Designer, and is proficient with game editors and Unreal Engine 5. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

We are looking for a Senior Level Designer (Gameplay/Mechanics).

TASKS:

· designing gameplay within levels and implementing quest mechanics based on the provided narrative design;

· integrating all elements of a quest (gameplay, locations, dialogues, cutscenes) into an engaging and unique experience using UE5;

· driving quest development, including planning and requesting assets required for implementation;

· working closely with level designers, writers, cinematic designers, and other departments;

· creating and maintaining design documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

· at least 2 years of experience in the games industry;

· experience working as a Quest or Mission Designer;

· familiarity with game editors; experience with Unreal Engine 5;

· understanding of interactive storytelling;

· strong knowledge of current games and game development practices;

· excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a team.
