We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Manager to lead our Insights & Surveys team within the People Analytics function. In this role, you will manage a high-impact team of 4-5 analysts focused on surfacing actionable workforce insights through both cross-functional and survey analysis. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across HR, IT and the business to deliver insights that influence strategy and elevate the employee experience across the company.
Must have:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop an analytics and survey design team.
  • Design and oversee research methodologies for employee insights.
  • Transform complex data into actionable insights for leadership.
  • Integrate new data with the People Analytics Platform.
  • Champion data privacy and ethical practices.
  • Refine tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Stay current on workforce listening and people analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in statistical methods, employee listening, analytics, data storytelling.
  • Manage people analytics projects from inception to completion.
  • 4-5 years managing analytics teams.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, SQL for data sourcing and work.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively with executives and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with HR systems like Workday and Eightfold.
Good to have:
  • Prior experience in management consulting.
  • Advanced degree in Industrial-Organizational psychology, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, HR Analytics or related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for analytics, insight generation, and employee survey design.
  • Design and oversee research methodologies that ensure validity, reliability and relevance of employee insights.
  • Transform complex data into meaningful, actionable insights that inform leadership decisions
  • Partner with the broader People Analytics team to integrate new data to our Analytics Platform
  • Champion data privacy and ethical practices to ensure confidentiality and trust
  • Continuously refine tools, dashboards and reporting mechanisms to enhance the accessibility and impact of insights
  • Stay current on emerging practices in workforce listening, organizational behavior, and people analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial-Organizational psychology, Economics, Data Science, Analytics, HR Analytics or related field or relevant experience in a People Analytics management role
  • Prior experience in management consulting is a plus
  • Advanced degree in any of the disciplines mentioned above is a plus
  • Deep expertise in statistical methods, employee listening strategy, analytics and data storytelling
  • Lead and manage people analytics projects from inception to completion
  • 4-5 years managing analytics teams
  • Proficiency in technical areas such as R, Python, SQL with a strong ability to source and work with data
  • Clear and persuasive communicator, comfortable engaging with senior executives and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, Eightfold

This is a full-time in office-based position with a preferred location of San Diego, CA. Additional possible office locations Austin, TX.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$167,000.00 - $250,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
