Job Description

This role is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract within the Data and Analytics HR Team at LSEG. The Senior Manager, People Business Partnering will provide comprehensive HR service and support to business clients, driving the strategic HR agenda. Responsibilities include managing the full employee lifecycle, implementing corporate policies, leading localized projects, and contributing to global initiatives. The role requires expertise in HR disciplines, analytical support, and handling employee relations and M&A integration activities.
Must have:
  • Provide HR service, support, and advice on the HR cycle (bonus/pay review, Talent Management, Performance Management, Employee Survey, Succession Planning).
  • Provide analytical support from Workday reports.
  • Impart knowledge of HR policies, processes, and applications.
  • Coordinate Workday related activities for client portfolio.
  • Act as point of entry for Global Mobility support.
  • Lead on projects and take ownership of elements.
  • Advise employees and managers in Employee Relations activities.
  • Take ownership of medium to high potential litigation cases.
  • Ensure ER matters are handled within legal timelines.
  • Lead and track probation reviews.
  • Be an influential partner on group M&A activities, performing initial analysis.
  • Aid in developing detailed people integration plans for M&A.
  • Play a key role in onboarding and integrating acquired employees.
  • Partner with Finance for operational expenditure targets.
  • Liaise with People Function and internal/external customers for M&A deliverables.
  • Significant HR experience, with international client-facing HR Business Partnering.
  • Exposure to global and complex matrix organizations, preferably Financial Services or Technology.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with customer service attitude.
  • Demonstrable experience in handling sensitive employee relations and dismissal situations.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative, and be a great teammate.
  • Well organized and focused on HR policy, procedures, and standards.
  • Eye for detail and ability to use judgment for exceptions.
  • Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to uncover people and business insights.
  • Solid facilitation/presentation skills.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Data and Analytics HR Team, at The London Stock Exchange Group.

The role on offer is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract!

The role is responsible for providing a strong HR service and support to a group of business clients as well as supporting the strategic agenda built by the HRBP. They must possess excellent knowledge of all core HR related topics impacting the employee life cycle. They will be responsible for the implementation of our corporate policies, processes and procedures. They will drive improved service delivery. They will lead some localized projects and contribute to global initiative, with support from the HRBP.

Major areas of accountability

  • Provides service, support and advice to the wider HR Community and employees in the delivery of the HR cycle, for example (but not limited to) bonus/pay review, Talent Management, Performance Management and Employee Survey, Succession Planning
  • Provides analytical support from Workday reports to aid your aligned client portfolio
  • Imparts knowledge (policy, process and application) in all HR disciplines to employees
  • Works closely with HR Specialists to help resolve queries which arise directly from the business
  • Coordinates all Workday related activities for your client portfolio
  • Acts as the point of entry for Global Mobility support activities within aligned client portfolio
  • Builds, protects and files relevant written correspondence and data associated with employees aligned to your client portfolio that may need to be referred to at a later date.
  • Will lead on projects and take ownership of certain elements of the projects, providing support and input to actions and overall objectives
  • Advises employee and managers in Employee Relations activities whilst keeping senior colleagues appraised
  • Takes ownership of medium to high potential litigation cases, being supported by the local ER Specialist (Settlements, grievances, redundancy, re-deployment, probation, capability)
  • Ensures all ER matters are handled and closed to the agreed and/or local legal timelines, minimizing any cost impacts
  • Liaises with the business to lead and track probation reviews, specifically in relation to Performance Management and HR lifecycle
  • Be an influential and active partner on group M&A activities by performing initial analysis of information provided as part of due diligence, including first review of compensation, employment agreements, talent and culture to assess risk and identify areas for mitigation
  • Aid in the development of detailed people integration plans, as they relate to M&A activities
  • Play a key role in the delivery of onboarding and integrating employees from the acquired businesses into LSEG
  • Partner with Finance to determine operational expenditure targets.
  • Liaise with members of the People Function and multiple internal and external customers globally in support of M&A deliverables.

Position requirements

  • Significant HR experience, with experience an international client facing HR Business Partnering role.
  • Exposure to and experience of global and complex matrix organizations, preferably with a background in Financial Services or Technology organisations
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with customer service attitude
  • Demonstrable experience and exposure in handling sensitive employee relations and dismissal situations
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative, is a great teammate - does not work in isolation from colleagues and uses standard methodology from elsewhere
  • Well organized and focused with regard to the application of HR policy, procedures and standards
  • Has an eye for detail and follows the rules but uses judgment and checks when exceptions can and need to be made
  • The ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment, hands on individual and who could deal with ambiguity
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to uncover people and business insights
