Anthology, a global EdTech leader, seeks a passionate Senior Product Designer to create innovative, intuitive products. This role focuses on product design and user research for our Flagship Student product. Responsibilities include leading design projects, transforming ideas into valuable mobile and web solutions, prototyping, testing, and advocating for users. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, take full ownership of their work, and contribute to the design community, shaping the future of education and AI innovation.
Must have:
  • Lead design projects using quant/qual research, rapid iteration, and testing for user-centered solutions.
  • Transform conceptual ideas into useful, usable, and valuable mobile and web products.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate designs, balancing discovery and delivery modes.
  • Advocate for users through research, feedback sessions, and usability testing.
  • Address short-term design needs while progressing towards long-term vision.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and data scientists on product vision.
  • Take full ownership of design work from sketching to final shipment.
  • Actively contribute to the design community, sharing ideas and upskilling in AI.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in product design.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a product designer for mobile and web.
  • Demonstrable experience in UX and interaction design.
  • Ability to design simple, inclusive, elegant products for all screen sizes.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design and execution.
  • Experience conducting user research, including usability testing.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to simplify complexity.
  • Knowledge of inclusive design principles and accessibility standards.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (CEF B2 or above).
Good to have:
  • Strong understanding of how to work with design systems
  • Experience designing and working with AI and machine learning
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with remote, globally distributed teams, maintaining strong relationships across teams with diverse cultures and work styles
  • Solid understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Understanding of Web Frameworks and React

We’re seeking a passionate, talented Senior Product Designer to help ensure our products are valuable, intuitive, and crafted to high standards. The role initially focuses on product design and user research on one of our Flagship products: Student.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading design projects, combining quant/qual research insights, rapid iteration, and testing to craft data informed, user centered solutions
  • Taking broad, conceptual ideas and turning them into something useful, useable and valuable across mobile and web
  • Prototyping, testing, and iterating. Jumping between ‘discovery’ mode (prototyping ideas and seeking feedback) and ‘delivery’ mode (nailing the flow, interactions, and accessibility)
  • Advocating for the user throughout the product lifecycle, engaging with customers through research and feedback sessions, site visits, usability testing, focus groups and user conferences to inspire ideas and inform design decisions
  • Addressing short-term design needs, and delivering value to users incrementally, while making strides towards long term vision
  • Working collaboratively within product teams as a peer with product managers, developers and data scientists to bring your ideas to life, and contribute to the strategic product vision
  • Being autonomous. Taking full ownership of your work and responsibility for every detail, every step of the way, from whiteboard sketching to what is finally shipped
  • Taking an active role in our design community, sharing ideas, upskilling in how to best use AI and contributing to our lunch and learns

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years as a product designer on both mobile and web products
  • Demonstratable experience in UX design and interaction design
  • Excel at designing simple, inclusive, elegant products, which consider all screen sizes from mobile, through to desktop
  • Strong portfolio showcasing solid user centered design practice and design execution
  • Experience running research such as usability testing
  • Team player and exceptional communicator who simplifies complexity, tells compelling stories, and is comfortable running customer and senior level calls
  • Knowledge of inclusive design and accessibility
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above
