Job Description
Who We Are
Arcadia is the technology company empowering energy innovators and consumers to fight the climate crisis. Our software and APIs are revolutionizing an industry held back by outdated systems and institutions by creating unprecedented access to the data and clean energy needed to make a decarbonized energy grid possible.
In 2014, Arcadia set out on its mission to break the fossil fuel monopoly and since then we have been knocking down the institutional barriers to unlock decarbonization. To date, we have connected hundreds of thousands of consumers and small businesses with high-quality clean energy options. Fast forward to today, and now, we’re thinking even bigger. We have launched Arc, an industry-defining SaaS platform that empowers developers and energy innovators to deliver their own custom, personalized energy experiences, accelerating the transformation of the industry from an analog energy system into a digitized information network.
Tackling one of the world’s biggest challenges requires out-of-the-box thinking & diverse perspectives. We’re building a team of individuals from different backgrounds, industries, & educational experiences. If you share our passion for ushering in the era of the clean electron, we look forward to learning what you would uniquely bring to Arcadia!
What we're looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Product team in the U.S. This role will focus on migrating complex customer workflows and data from a legacy platform to our flagship platform, working closely with enterprise customers to ensure they have consistent and clear communication about migration processes, and eventually transitioning to contributing to new features within the flagship platform that streamline complex commercial bill pay and energy procurement processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing the product roadmap and leading initiatives from conception to launch by connecting user needs, technological capabilities, and business goals. This person should have a proven track record of working with large, complex enterprise customers and handling product migrations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a systems thinker who enjoys breaking down complex problems into smaller, iterative steps. They will collaborate frequently with engineering, design, data entry, data science, and cross-functional teams like customer success and operations to ensure product success.
What you'll do:
- Dive deep into the intricacies and complexities of an older software system such that you become an expert within the company and can call out pitfalls involved in migrating away from the legacy system to Arcadia’s flagship product.
- Create and own the product roadmap for your charter, aligning it with the overall business and product strategy to help build and scale Arcadia's energy data products.
- Define, prioritize, and build product initiatives and features that enable the seamless transition of customers from legacy products onto Arcadia’s newer platform, including the refinement and adaption of legacy features.
- Help customers migrate their data and workflows from legacy platforms onto Arcadia’s newer platform
- Coordinate closely with other product, engineering, and data teams to integrate features closely with Arcadia’s internal data systems and pipelines.
- Work with other teams and operations to embed AI pipelines/capabilities into tools to eliminate manual processes and improve data observability
- Write clear and detailed product requirements that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate and coordinate for dependencies with engineering, operations, and data science to deliver products on time.
- Regularly checking with cross-functional team stakeholders to gather requirements or address pain points that can be solved by your squad
- Constantly monitor and provide updates on the progress of initiatives to all relevant stakeholders and the leadership team.
- Champion the use of AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Cursor) to drive productivity improvements within your team.
What will help you succeed:
Must-haves:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or business management from a top university.
- 6+ years of overall experience in software product management, with at least 4+ years of direct, hands-on PM experience in a SaaS or data/platform product company.
- Previous experience working directly alongside critical customers to understand their pain points and co-develop solutions with them.
- Experience working with big data systems, including the complexities involved with ambiguity in data quality and rules around data governance.
- Strong expertise with internal tools and systems within a medium to large enterprise, including building complex systems around automation.
- Proven ability to break down complex problems into incremental product solutions.
- Demonstrated experience aligning with and influencing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- A growth mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
- Experience working in a regulated vertical (e.g., energy, finance, telecom, or healthcare).
Benefits:
- "Remote first" culture - work anywhere in the US as long as you have a reliable internet connection
- Flexible PTO - no accrued hours and no limit on the number of vacation days exempt employees can take each year
- 12 annual company-wide holidays
- 10 days sick leave
- Up to 4 weeks bereavement leave
- 2 volunteer days off
- 2 professional development days off
