We are hiring a Senior Product Software Engineer to help develop an application that Wolters Kluwer's client practitioners use to follow the core tax season data and status. This tax platform operates in the Azure Cloud and helps provide accurate, and meaningful information used to track tax return statuses throughout our Canadian tax applications. You will be critical to delivering our business objectives by creating and maintaining the platform and underlying database structures and processes. We seek a collaborative individual who is a hands-on full stack Developer with experience in .Net technologies, C#, Angular and Azure, developing high-quality, scalable, reliable, and fast solutions.
Must have:
  • Work with the team lead, architect, and other software engineers to develop and implement new web applications and APIs (including Microservices).
  • Develop and assume ownership of platform applications, including API design, implementation and documentation.
  • Work with application teams to determine requirements for the CCH iFirm Tracking platform.
  • Maintain the performance of existing software.
  • Work with software test engineers to ensure quality.
  • Develop tasks within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Follow and contribute to best practices for coding.
  • Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Typescript, JavaScript, Angular, and Kendo UI.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Storage, Web apps, Key Vault, pipeline, App insights, and Monitoring).
  • Experience working with GIT as source control and understanding concepts around pull requests, branches, and repositories.
  • Industry experience in the tax and accounting sector.
  • Technology Certification.

You will be critical to delivering our business objectives by creating and maintaining the platform and underlying database structures and processes. We seek a collaborative individual who is a hands-on full stack Developer. You will have experience in .Net technologies, C#, Angular and Azure, developing high-quality, scalable, reliable, and fast solutions. You will report into the Manager Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team lead, architect, and other software engineers to develop and implement new web applications and APIs (including Microservices).
  • Develop and assume ownership of platform applications, including API design, implementation and documentation.
  • Work with application teams to determine requirements for the CCH iFirm Tracking platform.
  • Maintain the performance of existing software.
  • Work with software test engineers to ensure quality.
  • Develop tasks within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Follow and contribute to best practices for coding.
  • Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of extensive, hands-on development experience with the .NET/C#/NOSQL.
  • Experience with Typescript, JavaScript, Angular, and Kendo UI, is a plus.
  • Experience with REST API/ Web API creation, consumption, and integration using Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Experience in Agile Software Development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Storage, Web apps, Key Vault, pipeline, App insights, and Monitoring) is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines
  • Experience working with “GIT” as source control and should understand the concepts around pull requests, branches, and repositories, is a plus.
  • Industry experience in the tax and accounting sector is a plus.
  • Technology Certification is a plus.
