Senior QA Engineer

As a Senior QA Engineer at Lytx, you will be a critical part of the technology team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. You will design, develop, and execute tests for new and ongoing product development, collaborate with the release team, and provide a solid regression safety net. This role involves system-level test script execution, software application integration testing, and assisting with production issue troubleshooting. You will also mentor new hires and coordinate releases across teams.

Must Have

• Design, develop, and execute tests and test suites for new and ongoing product development.
• Collaborate with the release team to ensure quality is delivered to production.
• Develop and execute system level test scripts.
• Report issues and assist engineering teams with debug and analysis of failures.
• Test software application integration.
• Work with engineering teams in the review of testable functional specifications.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of system issues found in production.
• Mentor new hires on product, internal processes, business logic, and systems integration.
• Responsible for release coordination across teams and environments.
• Prioritize release items and defects.
• Maintain test environments.
• Work with Product Management and Engineering teams in the review of product and feature specifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Five years of experience in QA Engineer, Software QA Engineer, QA Software Analyst, Test Lead, or related software engineering role.
• Five years of experience as a QA Engineer doing system level and integration testing.
• Experience testing web based software.
• Experience with automated testing infrastructures such as SoapUI and Postman.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of testing principles, practices, and reporting procedures.
• Troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong writing and verbal skills.

What You’ll Need:

• Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software QA Engineer, QA Software Analyst, Test Lead, or in a related software engineering role.
• Position also requires five (5) years of experience as a QA Engineer doing system level and integration testing.
• Requires experience testing web based software.
• Requires experience with automated testing infrastructures such as SoapUI and Postman.
• Requires experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Requires knowledge of testing principles, practices, and reporting procedures.
