AppZen is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead test automation efforts using Python and Playwright, while also performing targeted manual testing for complex scenarios. You will design, build, and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks, integrate them with CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high-quality releases. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Development, DevOps, Product Management, and Release Management to ensure seamless delivery.

Must Have:
- Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python + Playwright for web and API testing.
- Automate regression, functional, and API tests, ensuring high coverage and maintainability.
- Perform manual testing for exploratory, complex, or newly developed features.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and maintain reporting dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Development, Product, Release) to ensure smooth QA integration and timely releases.
- Drive automation processes including test planning, code reviews, parallel execution, and best practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and enforce automation and manual testing best practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for test failures and optimize test strategy.
- Test AI/ML-driven workflows and AI agent functionality, validating output accuracy and reliability.
- 7+ years in QA/Automation, with 3+ years of hands-on Python + Playwright experience.
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in manual testing, exploratory testing, and test case design.
- Solid skills in API automation, SQL, PyTest, and test management tools (TestRail, Testmo, Zephyr).
- Strong experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
