Apple is seeking a Senior Engineer for its Satellite Communications Group SRE team. This role involves building, monitoring, and maintaining large-scale, highly resilient systems for satellite-based communication services. Responsibilities include contributing to distributed systems, architecture design, and cloud infrastructure (as code) for critical Apple services. The position offers the chance to build and control end-to-end infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, deployment, and software tools platforms, within a 'no-ops' culture. The team works on satellite networks enabling iPhone connectivity off-grid and plays a crucial role in services like Emergency SOS via satellite, impacting millions of users. The focus is on building and running infrastructure with an emphasis on software solutions for scaling Apple's global services.

Apple is looking for a Senior Engineer with systems and software engineering experience to join our Satellite Communications Group SRE team. The SRE team builds, monitors, and maintains large scale, highly resilient systems that enable our customers to access communications services via satellite. You'll be contributing to distributed systems, architecture design, and cloud infrastructure (as code!) for critical and unique customer-facing Apple services. This is a rare opportunity to build and control the entire end to end infrastructure, along with all supporting components such as provisioning, monitoring, deployment, and software tools platforms, from the beginning within a team with a no-ops culture.
