Job Description
WebMD Health Corp., an Internet Brands Company, is a leading provider of health information services. This Senior Site Reliability Engineer role involves managing and improving Infrastructure as Code tools and automated provisioning workflows. The engineer will administer on-premise Kubernetes and private cloud platforms, participate in a fast-paced, agile environment, and develop abilities through provided training. The position requires experience in supporting web-based applications, working with UNIX/Linux or Windows servers, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Must have:
- Support web-based applications for large scale and high-traffic websites
- Work with UNIX/Linux or Windows servers
- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Troubleshoot and performance tune distributed systems and web applications
- Understand TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and load balancing concepts
- Work with Load Balancers such as F5’s Big-IP
- Use configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Saltstack
- Script in Ruby, Python, Bash or Powershell
- Work with DevOps Open-Source tools like ArgoCD, ELK Stack, Hashicorp Tools, RabbitMQ, SOLR, Redis & Kafka
- Understand CI/CD and create pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI
- Manage and improve Infrastructure as Code tools and automated provisioning workflows
- Administer on-premise Kubernetes and private cloud platforms
- Participate in a fast-paced, agile environment

Education:
B.E. Computer Science/IT degree (or any other engineering discipline)
Work timings:
2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST
Position Requirements:
- 3+ years' experience in supporting web-based applications for large scale and high-traffic websites
- 4+ years’ experience working with UNIX/Linux or Windows servers
- 3+ years’ experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) preferred
- Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of distributed systems and web applications
- Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and load balancing concepts
- Experience working with Load Balancers such as F5’s Big-IP
- Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Saltstack
- Experience in scripting languages like Ruby, Python, Bash or Powershell
- Experience working with DevOps Open-Source tools such as ArgoCD, Elastic (ELK Stack), Hashicorp Tools (Terraform, Consul, Vault or Nomad), RabbitMQ, SOLR, Redis & Kafka
- Fundamental understanding of CI/CD with experience in creating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI
- Ability to communicate high-level as well as detailed technical concepts and implementations with peers and colleagues
