Job Description

WebMD Marketing Solutions team is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the development, scoping, and strategic storytelling of advertising solutions and sponsorship opportunities for large accounts across CPG, Government, and Pharmaceuticals. The role requires creative thinking, effective communication, and strong business acumen to interface with executives and build relationships across functions.
Must have:
  • Lead development, scoping, and strategic storytelling of advertising solutions.
  • Partner with Sales to understand client needs and create effective solutions.
  • Create overall narrative for solution presentations in response to RFPs.
  • Act as liaison across multiple teams for solution configuration and delivery.
  • Leverage real-time audience insights to refine targeting and product marketing.
  • Extract actionable insights from marketing dashboards for optimization.
  • Represent WebMD when interacting with clients.
  • Serve as lead on various team and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and provide solution recommendations for inefficiencies.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in marketing or sales for a digital advertiser, publisher or media agency.
  • Comfortable handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

WebMD Marketing Solutions team is seeking a Marketing Manager to join us in Newark, NJ. The role is responsible for leading the development, scoping and strategic storytelling of a high volume of advertising solutions and sponsorship opportunities for large accounts, across all verticals – consumer packaged goods (CPG), Government and Pharmaceuticals. The candidate must have the ability to think creatively and ultimately communicate their strategic ideas effectively. Additionally, business depth & acumen are critical to interface with WebMD executives and build successful relationships with partners across all functions.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will serve as the marketing lead, responsible for packaging, pricing and positioning integrated digital solutions to large consumer advertisers

  • Partner closely with Sales to understand client needs to create the most innovative, yet effective solutions
  • Create the overall narrative for all solution presentations, in response to RFPs
  • Act as liaison across multiple teams to ensure effective configuration and delivery of solutions - including client services, product marketing, editorial, program marketing, and business insights
  • Leveraging real time audience insights to refine targeting and product marketing recommendations to the business
  • Extract actionable insights from marketing dashboards to continuously optimize audience quality delivery
  • Represent WebMD when interacting with clients
  • Serve as lead on various team and cross-functional initiatives
  • Proactively identify and provide solution recommendations to organizational and process inefficiencies

Requirements:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in marketing or sales for a digital advertiser, publisher or media agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Advertising preferred, however actual experience can be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Working knowledge of digital agencies required
  • Comfort and familiarity with highly matrixed cross functional departments
  • Working experience with Salesforce or another CRM program required
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AI)
  • Ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders including sales, product marketing and editorial
  • The ideal candidate must possess strong creative marketing skills
  • Ability to understand and solve problems regarding client expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong consulting and ability to influence internal partners
  • Strong listening skills with ability to translate concepts into deliverables
  • Must be comfortable handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously and have the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Consumer Packaged Goods, Point of Care and Pharmaceutical industries preferred
