Senior Software Engineer

Qualcomm Cloud is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Linux user space development to build API support for AI frameworks like Pytorch. The role targets Qualcomm's high-performance inference accelerator AI 100. Responsibilities include software architecture, design, development, integration, and testing for Linux-based products, utilizing C/C++ and Python. The candidate will create programming APIs for running ML kernels on Cloud AI 100 efficiently.

Must Have

• Experience with Linux user-space development, API development, and multi-threaded processing.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python development.
• Knowledge of RTOS, SoC architecture, and common hardware blocks.
• Experience with Source Code and Configuration management tools.
• Ability to evangelize innovative software architectural designs.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or Master's with 1+ year, or PhD).

Good to Have

• Understanding of PT 2.0 framework.
• Familiarity with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and LPDDR.

Responsibilities will include software architecture and design, software development, software integration, functional and performance testing for a Linux based product. The tools of the trade are C/C++ and Python.

The candidate will leverage her experience to build programming APIs to enable a user to run ML kernels on Cloud AI 100 in a user friendly and performant way.

Required Skills and Aptitudes

• Experience with Linux user-space development, API development and multi-threaded processing.
• Experience with development in C/C++.
• Experience with development in Python.
• Knowledge of RTOS, SoC architecture (core, cache, memory, bus architecture, IOs, etc.) and common hardware blocks
• Experience with Source Code and Configuration management tools
• Experience evangelizing innovative and new software architectural designs.
• Good communication skills and ability to negotiate in a co-operative way.
• 2+ years of relevant experience

Desirable Skills and Aptitudes

• Understanding of PT 2.0 framework
• Familiar with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and LPDDR

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$100,200.00 - $166,900.00
