Job Summary
Lucid is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in audio stream management for our infotainment ECU. This role involves designing and implementing robust solutions to manage multiple audio streams (media, navigation, voice assistant, telephony, alerts) seamlessly across the system. The engineer will ensure proper handling of concurrent audio sources with priority rules, optimize audio performance and latency on QNX and Android Automotive platforms, and collaborate with various teams to deliver a premium audio experience. The position also includes troubleshooting audio-related issues and defining/monitoring audio KPIs.
Must Have
- Design and implement audio routing and stream management for infotainment systems.
- Ensure proper handling of concurrent audio sources (media, calls, notifications) with priority rules.
- Optimize audio performance and latency across QNX and Android Automotive platforms.
- Collaborate with middleware, hardware, and UX teams to deliver a premium audio experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues, including synchronization and resource conflicts.
- Define and monitor audio KPIs for quality and performance.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with QNX and Android Automotive.
- Deep understanding of audio frameworks, routing, and concurrency management.
- Familiarity with audio codes, DSP concepts, and low-latency audio processing.
- Ability to work in a global, cross-functional team.
- Strong focus on quality and user experience.
- Excellent technical communication skills.
Good to Have
- Automotive or consumer electronics experience.
- Knowledge of Qt, audio HALs, and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with Android Audio Framework and QNX Audio Manager.
