Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, self-driven Senior Software Tester to play a crucial role in our software development quality assurance. Responsibilities include analyzing product specifications, defining test cases, and leading testing efforts for both manual and automated testers. You will be instrumental in identifying, verifying, and resolving defects to ensure high-quality solutions for our mission-critical customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong familiarity with multiple programming languages, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to software quality.
Must have:
  • Understand product requirements and match test cases
  • Define Test Environment setup and procedures
  • Execute test cases, analyze results, and report detected issues/defects
  • Mentor junior manual and automated testers
  • Lead the effort to define and implement automation testing processes
  • Track reported issues/defects
  • Collaborate with other test leads, team members, and test managers
  • Collaborate with software development leads
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and newest testing methodologies and tools
  • Support the Test Manager in achieving strategic goals for the Test Team
  • Provide technical know-how, documentation, and training
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Significant experience in Quality Assurance testing or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., ALM)
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
  • Familiarity with automated testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with various coding languages
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams
  • Experience in triage of issues

The TETRA Devices Software Team follows modern software development practices such as continuous integration/continuous deployment, DevOps, component-level and system-level automated testing. We use Agile methodologies to organize our work and we are responsible for end-to-end software development life-cycle. As a TETRA Device Software Team member, you will be responsible for delivering uncompromising quality solutions for a customer base that demands the highest level of assurance that their needs will be served with the products and solutions you develop.

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced, self-driven Software Tester to take on a vital role in our software development quality assurance process. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing product specifications and defining test cases to confirm compliance with those specifications. As a Senior Software Tester, you will be instrumental in leading test efforts of other manual and automated testers. You'll lead the process of identifying, verifying and ultimately assuring the defects are resolved and thereby preventing them from reaching our end-users.

The ideal candidate will have a strong familiarity with multiple programming languages and a keen eye for detail. You'll be expected to demonstrate leadership and a commitment to excellence in software quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand product requirements and match test cases.
  • Define Test Environment setup and procedures.
  • Execute test cases, analyze results, and report all detected issues/defects.
  • Mentor junior manual and automated testers.
  • Lead the effort to define and implement automation testing processes to aid in future testing.
  • Track reported issues/defects.

Basic Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field.
