Job Description
Within the Digital Program at MSI IT, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. We count on our Sr. Full Stack Development Lead (SDLs) to empower our users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance level to pursue their missions. As we expand our customer deployments, we are currently seeking a SDL to understand our IT systems and applications requirements and help build new applications or enhance existing applications. Specifically, we are searching for someone who brings fresh ideas, demonstrates a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction. As a SDL, you will be responsible for business and IT stakeholders interaction, requirements analysis, designing the systems, lead the development efforts and of the Digital Transformation platform & help us meet the business requirements, enrich the customer experience and satisfaction and improve the quality of the software applications.
Objectives of this Role:
- Interact with various IT and business stakeholders, teams to understand various applications functioning
- Identify business and IT needs and translate them into the technical and functional requirements
- Develop software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
- Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continuous improvement
- Provide support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications
- Keep applications, software and hardware upto date.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Partner with development teams to deliver the planned deliverables
- Meet with IT leaders to discuss project goals, solution quality, schedule and progress, and the overall client relationship.
- Estimate the work required to implement a module of a project.
- Test your work and review team members’ work and give constructive feedback on improvements.
- Serve as the technical lead on multiple active project initiatives.
- Assist in the creation of design documents and key artifacts for the project.
- Leverage internal tools, standards, and processes for the development work.
- Help peers and junior team members debug code or resolve technical problems.
- Drive client satisfaction through repeated project delivery successes and strategic engagement.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Complex Issue Triage (Across multiple technology platforms and vendors)
- Establish best practices for performance and stability
- Conduct monthly reviews to review trends and change recommendations
- Review and maintain list of corrective actions
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor or MBA in Information Technology.
- 10-12 years of software development experience in the IT industry.
- Sound development experience using Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, .NET, XML, JQuery, Javascript, Json and other similar web technologies.
- Expert in developing APIs and web Services (SOAP and RESTFUL).
- Extensive RDBMS database working knowledge (DML SQLs, Stored Procedures/Functions/Triggers development) using PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Redis, MondoDB databases.
- Experience with development frameworks including AngularJS, Angular or ReactJS, and Node.js.
- Strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
- Experience in developing, testing/debugging web, console, desktop applications in e-Commerce, Services, finance, invoicing, payments, insurance, banking domains.
- Familiarity with responsive design/development best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Well versed with data structures, algorithms, data analysis.
- Familiarity with accessible web design & development practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS.
- Exposure to lead the software development team and mentor them to build a high performing team.
- Should be able to manage work independently.
- Must be familiar with various types of testing, defect prevention activities & Quality Management.
- Familiarity with AI technologies like GenAI, Agentic AI, Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.
- Well aware of CI/CD processes and having experience using DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernets, Jira, Git, Confluence, version control, etc.
