Job Summary

New Relic is seeking a Solutions Consultant to deliver its solutions to customers. This role involves collaborating with sales, Technical Account Managers, and marketing teams to propose and provide technical support for New Relic's best-in-class solutions. The consultant will help customers effectively utilize New Relic's features to meet their business needs, understanding their IT infrastructure and software architecture across various industries. Training is provided for those with technical backgrounds transitioning into a sales-oriented role.

Must Have

  • 3+ years of experience in customer interaction in projects or sales activities as a Pre-sales Engineer, technical Consultant/Architect, system operations administrator, or Software Developer
  • Interest in latest technologies and actively keeping up-to-date
  • Knowledge and experience or interest in application/infrastructure operations (e.g., operational monitoring, system management design)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • English reading and writing skills for communication with international team members via Slack and email
  • Adherence to core company values: responsible, bold, authentic, passionate, and consistent

Good to Have

  • Practical working experience with programming languages such as Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Node.js, Python

We are looking for a Solutions Consultant to deliver New Relic solutions to our customers. We welcome consultants and pre-sales engineers with a passion for technical sales, or developers who frequently interact with customers. New Relic has a track record of successfully transitioning technically excellent engineers into Solutions Consultants, so even if you have limited sales experience and are concerned about fitting this position, please be assured. Onboarding training is also available.

The main role of a Solutions Consultant is to work with New Relic's sales, Technical Account Managers, Technical Support Engineers, and marketing teams to propose how customers can effectively utilize best-in-class New Relic solutions for their business and provide technical support to ensure they leverage the excellent features.

As our Solutions Consultant, you will gain an understanding of customer business needs and market trends by providing technical support for various industries and systems. We are looking for a Solutions Consultant who understands all phases of the sales cycle, possesses extensive knowledge of selling our SaaS solutions, and supports field sales. You will collaborate with other Solutions Consultants and product teams to understand customer IT infrastructure and software architecture, create solutions that address customer business needs, and demonstrate how New Relic's solutions meet these needs in real-time.

What you'll do

  • Provide New Relic consulting knowledge to convey the value of New Relic solutions to customers.
  • Create customer presentations that clearly explain the value of New Relic solutions and their relevance to customer requirements, and build and present compelling proof-of-concept demos for customers.
  • Provide event presentations, technical documentation, and training to promote New Relic solutions.
  • Collaborate with New Relic Sales, Solutions Consultants, and Technical Account Managers on business opportunities.
  • Adherence to core company values such as being responsible, bold, authentic, passionate, and consistent is essential.

This role requires

  • Experience in customer interaction in projects or sales activities, with 3+ years of experience as a Pre-sales Engineer, technical Consultant/Architect, system operations administrator, or Software Developer.

Bonus points if you have

  • Practical working experience with programming languages such as Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Node.js, Python is preferred.
