Job Description

As a Senior Specialist in Data Protection, you will support the company's products and services by ensuring compliance with federal securities laws and state requirements. You will research and analyze laws, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide support to the Senior Management of the Compliance team. The role involves leading projects, developing business cases, and ensuring data protection processes remain fit for purpose. The role requires a high degree of judgement and self-initiative.
Must have:
  • Develop and manage business cases for mandatory change projects.
  • Establish collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop relationships to communicate data protection issues.
  • Participate in internal projects for effective solutions.
  • Ensure data protection processes remain fit for purpose.
  • Provide support to Senior Management.
  • Identify actions to build data protection culture.
  • Provide input on data protection related matters.

  • What You Will Get To Do:

  • Support the system and technical requirements for regulatory compliance as well as staying abreast of regulation changes applicable to all of the company's various industries.
  • Review and/or assists with the development of functional/business requirements to ensure compliance for technical enhancements and new product offerings.
  • Research, analyzes, and interprets federal, state, IRS, and SEC laws as well as proposed laws to determine applicability from both the technical and operational perspective.
  • Work with the NASD and test vendors for supervision of Securities trading activities and licensing administration.
  • Career level professional leading small, moderately complex projects or working on complex tasks that require a high degree of judgement, resourcefulness, and self-initiative.
  • Demonstrate specialized expertise to evaluate wide-ranging and complex issues and develop creative solutions. Recommends new procedures. Minimally requires a Master's degree and 1 years of related experience, Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or high school degree and 5 years of related experience.
  • What You Will Bring:

  • Develop and manage the building of business cases for mandatory change projects included in the Data Protection Programme
  • Establish effective collaboration with the relevant internal stakeholders at a senior level to facilitate delivery of the strategic elements of the Data Protection Programme
  • Develop relationships with internal and external parties to provide effective communication of data protection issues
  • Participate in internal projects to provide context in the application of data protection requirements to support the creation of effective and pragmatic solutions
  • Work closely with the business to ensure data protection processes and procedures remain fit for purpose and are up-dated to reflect data protection changes
  • Provide support to the Senior Management of the Compliance team in respect of data protection matters
  • To identify and take action to help build upon our data protection culture
  • Provide input/updates at relevant workshops on data protection related matters
