Marvell is a semiconductor company enabling data infrastructure. The CE CSE AE team supports Marvell business units and customers, focusing on PHY electrical and systematic issue debugging. This role involves preparing, coordinating, and technically supporting Marvell SoC/ASIC projects using Marvell Central Engineering IPs. Responsibilities include pre-silicon kick-offs, risk assessment, IP/package/test plan reviews, driving engineering resources for SoC bring-up, and resolving system and IP level issues from bring-up to production.
Must have:
  • Responsible for preparing, coordinating, and technically supporting Marvell SoC/ASIC projects using Marvell Central Engineering IPs.
  • Conduct kick-offs with BU and customer, including IP usage, risk assessment, and IP/package/test board/test plan review in pre-silicon phase.
  • Provide regular interlock and training to Marvell internal BUs.
  • Drive engineering resources for SoC bring-up and issue debug until stable production.
  • Resolve system and IP level issues observed from SoC bring-up to production using knowledge of Marvell PHY and supporting analog IPs.
  • Possess technical skills in SerDes IP design, lab characterization, compliance test, firmware, Python coding, and API.
  • Deep knowledge in Ethernet and PCIe electrical and system applications and hardware usage.
  • Extensive experience in internal BU and customer support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10+ years of related professional experience (or Master's with 6-8 years, PhD with 3-5 years).
  • Must be a team player.

Your Team, Your Impact

CE CSE AE team is responsible of supporting all Marvell business units and customer if needed, specifically in PHY electrical and systematic issue debug.

What You Can Expect

1. Responsible of preparing, coordinating and technical supporting Marvell SoC/ASIC projects using IPs developed by Marvell Central Engineering.

2. Preparation includes kick-off with BU and customer (if needed) about IP usage, risk assessment and IP/package/test board/test plan review, etc in pre-silicon phase as well as providing regular interlock and training to Marvell internal BUs.

3. Coordination includes driving the best engineering resources for SoC bring-up and issue debug until stable production is achieved.

4. Technical support is essentially using the knowledge and experience about Marvell PHY and supporting analog IPs to resolve any system and IP level issues observed from SoC bring-up to production.

5. Technical skillsets/knowledge/experience that might be needed includes SerDes IP design, SerDes IP lab characterization and compliance test, firmware, Python coding, API, etc.

6. The IPs are mostly Marvell multi-data rate high-speed SerDes as well as supporting analog IPs like analog bias, clock buffer and generator, process monitor, temperature sensor, etc.

7. The high-speed interface applications of interest are Ethernet single channel 10G/25G/50G/100G/200G KR/CR/C2M/C2C, PCIe Gen1-Gen6, CPRI, JESD, CEI, etc.

What We're Looking For

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10+ years of related professional experience.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 6-8 years of experience.

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3-5 years of experience.

2. Deep knowledge in Ethernet and PCIe electrical and system applications and hardware usage.

3. Extensive experience in internal BU and customer support.

4. Specific experience in ASIC support model and activities will be a plus.

5. Must be team player and team management experience is also appreciated.
