Job Description

The Custom Cloud Solutions (CCS) Business Unit at Marvell is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for its Emulation Center of Excellence (CoE) team. This role involves driving emulation strategy, vendor platform enablement, and testplan execution for high-quality design tape-outs. The successful candidate will evolve emulation methodology, set goals for models and verification, and independently own complex tasks such as model build, environment development, and end-to-end testing for state-of-the-art data center designs.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 8-12 years of related professional experience
  • Experienced Emulation and Design Validation Engineer with track record of execution and technical leadership
  • Self-starter with hands-on expertise in Emulation Build and/or Emulation DV environment development
  • Substantial knowledge of emulation platforms offerings from various vendors such as Synopsys, Cadence, Seimens
  • Extensive experience in building complex SOC emulation models
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following: Processor architecture, SOC components, SOC inter-connect buses, IO protocols (PCIe, CXL, Ethernet) and memory technologies interfaces (DDR, HBM)
  • Strong understanding of product development process of large SOCs and verification/debug experience in emulation platforms
  • Strong experience in coding in scripting languages like Perl, Python, Tcl & UNIX Shell etc

Custom Cloud Solutions (CCS) Business Unit closely collaborates with strategic customers in the development of advanced and highly complex SoCs, from architecture and design all the way through layout, packaging, prototype validation and production ramp up. The Emulation Center of Excellence (CoE) team is key part of this group, with global ownership and responsibility for delivering emulation infrastructure, validating the design on emulation and drive left shift of SW and post-silicon readiness for all of CCS products. As part of the Emulation CoE leadership, you will drive the emulation strategy, vendor platform enablement, testplan execution for a high quality design tape-out.

What You Can Expect

  • As an Emulation Technical Lead you will be involved in evolving emulation strategy and methodology and participate in setting goals for emulation models and verification
  • You will independently own complex tasks such as emulation model build, environment development, test development, stress testing, performance and end to end use case testing, FW deployment, host integration, etc
  • As a technical lead, you will work with multi-functional teams, implement state-of-the-art designs for complex data center designs

What We're Looking For
